We fight a daily battle with type 1 diabetes. J.J. leads the charge.

He has some ups and downs with his diabetes every day.

We would like to share some of them with you.

Up – J.J. started 5th grade this year. (Can you believe it??)

Down – He has had type 1 diabetes for more than two years.

Up – J.J. got an insulin pump in January 2009

Down – He wears it 24/7.

Up – His blood sugars have stabilized over the last several

months

Down – He still suffers with dangerous lows and highs.

Up – Exciting research news about an artificial pancreas.

Down – Diabetes Research Funding is reduced because of the

economy.

Up – Our Team Walk Goal - $5,000

Down – We did not meet our walk goal last year.

Up – Brotherhood

Up – A hope for a family with no diabetes

Where kids can be kids.

Where we have no worries about what will happen tomorrow.

And we can ride off into the sunset….
