The Cougars Care Kids Care Club has been selected to participate in Oprah’s “O Ambassador” Program which runs in
conjunction with Free the Children.
This program introduces students to the study of global issues such as poverty, education, health and sustainability. They are currently studying poverty and have participated in a 3-hour
vow of silence to honor all of the children silenced by poverty.
Cafeteria tables are lined with facts about poverty and hunger as well as stories of children in developing countries facing
serious food shortages where they live.
