Where do we start?
Teacher inservice day – 28 August Training will be provided on the following
programs: Word - word processor/desktop publisher PowerPoint – slideshow presentation
Excel – spreadsheet
What will we learn?
How to create personalized letters to students and/or their parents using templates and data (Word & Excel)
How to create brochures, posters, etc. (Word) How to create a database to record student data,
including grades, behavior, personal information (Excel)
How to create instructional slideshows for your lessons (PowerPoint)
Do we need to prepare ahead of time?
No advance preparation required Bring positive attitudes and open minds Be prepared to learn something new &
exciting! Expect to have fun!
Most of all, remember that:
• Technology is a tool• You are in control • You are helping prepare students for college
and/or the workplace• They expect it: they use technology on a
daily basis
