Level 1 Award in Creative Media Production

Aims

You will be put into a team in order to form a multimedia company. As a company you must then design a logo and leaflet and create a video for the company. You will be required to create a blog that records the process of you making these materials and the final products. You will also need to develop a sketchbook, which should contain all of your research, ideas and development.

Research and Ideas Development (Investigation)

Recap:Investigate 3-5 multimedia companies that have promotional videos. Watch the videos and make notes on the content, style and structure of these videos.

Create a Location Recce, Storyboard, Shot-list, Shooting Schedule, List of Resources & Risk Assessment. All documents can be team produced except the storyboard, which must be individually produced.

Location Recce

Comes from the military term “reconnaissance”Pre-filming visit to a location to work out its suitability for shooting, including access to necessary facilities and assessment of any potential lighting or sound issues.

Shot-list

A list of shots helps in the planning and filming By creating a shot list, your entire production runs more efficiently because everything gets shot based on the location and setup, as opposed to the order scenes appear in the script.

A shooting schedule is a project plan of each day's shooting for a film production

List of Resources

A list of props, costumes, make-up, people and equipment which are required for productionWhere they will be sourced fromHow much they will cost

Risk Assessment

Method of looking at work activities, considering what could go wrong, and deciding on suitable control measures to prevent loss, damage or injury

Monday 25th Feb (Contingency)– 1pm to 4.30pm
