India’s men’s handball team has
been included in the draw
released by the Asian Games
organizers even though it was
not there in Indian Olympic
Association (IOA)’s list of 534
athletes published on June 5.
The draw for the handball has
been released with 13 teams
divided into four groups. The
group comprising India has
four teams while other groups
have three teams each.
India are in group D alongside
Bahrain, Chinese Taipei, India
and Iraq.
India’s women’s team were
however cleared by IOA and
Asian Games 2018: Indian men’s
handball team included
they are in five-team group
comprising South Korea,
Kazakhstan, China and North
Korea. The handball teams
have been under scanner as

Scuba Diving Camp
for NCC Cadets

Scuba Diving Camp for the
NCC group of Army and
Navy was conducted
recently by the Clearance
Diving Unit (PBR) under
the aegis of Naval
Component Commander. It
aimed at introducing the
cadet to scuba and
recreational diving. The
camp aided the
participants to develop
and hone their skills for
adventure in the marine
environment. The training
was imparted in three
phases. The first phase
was int roduction to
physiology of diving and
the danger associated with
diving in compressed air.
Cadets were made familiar
with the principle of laws
of diving and safety
regulations. Safety of the
Cadets was considered
paramount whilst
undertaking any of the
diving activities.
Certificates of participation
were distributed to the
Cadets by the Naval
Component Commander, a

and who meet the eligibility criteria for admissions as specified in the eligibility criteria
