CREATE A BUSINESS PAGEFrom your Personal Profile, select the dropdown in the upper right hand corner.

Select Create Page.

CREATE AN ADFrom your personal profile select the dropdown at the top-right of the screen, select Create Ads.

Select a campaign objective.

SELECT TYPE OF ADInsert web page address where you want consumers to land.

Select Set Audience & Budget.

TARGET AUDIENCESelect location and general demographic targeting.

Select Detailed Targeting.

Start designing your ad.

Facebook will provide audience estimates for your ad based on the daily ad budget.

DESIGNING AN ADAd design is simple and self-explanatory; however it is important to remember:• Use simple, easy to read text with a clear call to action.• Visuals are very important.• No more than 20% of ad creative / image may be text. • Although your ad will run on both desktop and mobile,

design the ad with the mobile consumer in mind as the vast majority of consumers will see this ad on their mobile device.

• After you are satisfied, select Review Order and Place Order.

• You will receive a Facebook notification that your ad has been approved and will begin delivering.

• Consult with the Ads Product Guide.

ADDING MEDIA

• Ad images from your photo library or select Free Stock Images.

• Use high-resolution images for best results.

Select Images from the Media section. You may add a single image or as many as five in what is called a carousal ad. The choice depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If it is a home listing, the carousal may work best. If you are prospecting or recruiting, the single image or video may be best.

ATTENTION GRABBING HEADLINEBest Practices for Ad Copy:

• The Headline “Text” must be clear, concise, and to the point. You only have a one second to grab the viewer’s attention so make it count.

• Less is more when it comes to copy.

• Use the Call To Action button.

• Review Order

• Place Order

TRACKING AD PERFORMANCETo track your ad’s performance, select the Promote dropdown from your business page and select Ads Manager. You may pause, edit, or delete your campaign at anytime. Select the campaign you want to review. Check for Performance, Audience, and Placement.Note: Give the ad some time to run (3-6 hours) before making a decision to edit or delete. If the campaign is not meeting your business objectives, try switching out the image or revising the ad copy.
