The Driving Question…

Why are buildings

important?

DURING OUR ENQUIRY WE WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS…

How are buildings sacred?

What do different religious buildings look and feel like?

How can we work together to create a book?

Buildings: local, national and global

TASK: IN YOUR BOOKMAKE A LIST OF BUILDINGS

YOU HAVE VISITED. WHERE ARE THEY AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?

OUR FINAL PRODUCT…

7As a class, we will produce a book. Each

double page will contain a photograph of a building which is

important to each of you and a narrative which

explains why this building means so much. We will hold an exhibition during

the last week of term where each of you will exhibit your photograph and narrative on an A3 sheet.Parents and carers can order a copy of the book.

MY BUILDING WITH MEANING

TASK: Mindmap ideas for your own building with meaning.

Castles!

Why are castles important? What do you think about when you hear the word castle? Who do you picture living in a castle? Have you ever visited one?
