After yesterday’s calmer GoNoodle, we’re back to the Koo Koo Kanga Roo boys...but this time they’re going slow!

Writing: Personal narrativesWe’ve now reached the stage when we’ll write out our whole personal narrative.

This is the same story you wrote about yesterday and on Tuesday.

● I want you to use the work you did on Tuesday and Wednesday to help you.● You should split your story into four parts, like we did with the

graphic organizer on Wednesday.● Those four parts should be in the order that things happened in your

story, and you should use the ‘First...Next...Then...Finally’ structure we used on Tuesday and Wednesday.

● You should have at least two complete sentences in each part, so eight sentences altogether.

Tomorrow, we will edit this ‘rough draft’ and produce our final version.

Recess Time 20 minutes

Math materials/resources

● Today we are continuing to learn about equivalent fractions.

● If you get confused, it’s worth reviewing the Brainpop video on

equivalent fractions, even if you watched it yesterday:

● We will work on the Share & Show and On Your Own questions on

p.546-547 (you don’t need to do the first half of page 546).

● Homework will be p.549-550.

Read AloudWould you run for president?

Today’s read aloud is If I ran for president. If you ran for president, you would have to do a lot of hard work. You would study the nation’s problems, tell the American people about your platform, select a running mate, and debate your opponents on live television.

This time, the story is not read by adults, but by kids like yourself!

Social studies ● Have you been saving money to spend it on something you want?● Or do you spend money right when you get it?● Here is a brain pop video that will help you think of reasonable

ways to spend or save your money.

In two weeks (Monday 6th April), we will be creating a business. Start brainstorming ideas for your business now. You might want to write your ideas down so you don’t forget, but you don’t need to send that to me.
