LET‟S GO GREEN..!!

Youth for green

A Design for Change Project

INTRODUCTION

This program was introduced to us in August

of 2011

We decided to launch the program in the

beginning of October, 2011

We were a group of 5 people who took the

lead & managed to get about 7-8 people

with us to help us

GREEN PROJECT!

THE THOUGHT PROCESS..

We all met up & decided that we wanted to

do something for the environment!

But the BIG question was what??

Finally, we decided that we should plant

trees as we think it would bring a change &

help us in the long run

After a little research we came to a

conclusion that we just didn’t want to plant

plants instead we wanted to plant grafted

trees, which grow at a rapid pace and yield

fruits after a few years

The trees that we planted were

Jackfruit

Chickoo

Lemon

Indian Gooseberry or Amla

THE PLEDGE..

We thought just planting the trees wasn't

enough..

…So we pledged to take care of

these trees for 5 years or till they start bearing

fruits!

The D – Day…

Tree shopping at the green house.

Digging a hole near the school campus and getting it ready to

plant our 1st tree!

..getting help from other members as well to dig the hole!

Finally! All ready to plant our first tree!

Followed by our 2nd one!

Our tree after it has been firmly planted in the ground!

Our proud „Lets Go Green‟ Team !!

`The idea of Go Green! has given us a thought that little changes

can impact the society in the long run! These trees when they

grow big will help make the air clean & the fruits can be

consumed by all!

So in conclusion we can say..

“The fruits of this activity will

not only benefit us but the

society at large”
