Program promising researchers are dispatched to CGIAR Centers for aperiod of about two months each year. To be eligible for thisfellowship, the applicant must be less than 35 years old, a
Japanese citizen involved in research in the field of agriculture,forestry and fisheries, and holds at least a Master’s degree.

JIRCAS Visiting ResearchFellowship Program
Every year, JIRCAS invites promising researchers from researchorganizations in developing countries to conduct research workunder the supervision of JIRCAS researchers. This fellowshipprogram has two types namely, Tsukuba-Okinawa and ProjectSite Type. Under the former, the research will be carried outeither at the JIRCAS HQ in Tsukuba, or at the TropicalAgriculture Research Front (TARF) in Okinawa, while under thelatter, it will be done at the institutes in developing countries
where JIRCAS collaborative research projects are beingimplemented.
