• Adopt Resolutions of Notice of Intent to Use Uniform Method to Impose Non-ad Valorem Assessment and authorize Chair to sign resolutions for:– District 1: Country Club Estates, Country Club
Manor & Country Club– District 2: Prairie Bluff & Social Square
• Do not adopt Resolution of Notice of Intent:– District 3: Fairway Estates
History
• SEPT. 2007: Staff receives petition from GGCC asking County to mill and resurface SW 35th Way
• SUMMER 2009: Staff conducts petition process in accordance with then-code
• SEPT. 8, 2009: Board directs staff to: – Amend Chapt. 37, Alachua County Code– Hold hearings for GGCC districts prior to Sept. 15, 2010
• OCT. 2009: Property Appraiser & Tax Collector grant extensions• NOV. 10, 2009: Board adopts Ordinance 09-09, amending code:
– Property Owner Interest Poll: owners of 50% + 1 of properties responding must agree with creation of district
– Each potential special assessment district may be attempted once per County Fiscal Year
