Snow, snow & more snow! Ugh. I love the snow, but this is a bit much. On the plus side, the
snow days off from school have afforded me some extra time to work on a comfort quilt. It was
great to see folks @ the comfort quilt sewing day too.
A special thank you to Mary Ginn, Carol Robinson, & Helen Gosselin for sharing their quilt-
ing journeys with us at the January meeting. It was both inspiring and entertaining.
February is always an exciting month for MVQ as it is auction month! I love the auction and
am really looking forward to it. Hope to see you at the February meeting.

We are trying to increase revenue for the Quilt
Show Booklet!
SO…. We challenge each member to ask their hairdresser,
their nail lady, their employer, their favorite store, etc, for a
Business Card ad for $15 for our booklet. Six cards make
up a page and that adds $90 towards defraying the cost of the
booklet.
Just mail the check to MVQ and the business card to Lyn
Grenier.

well come anyway for a fun day, maybe go to a shop you have never been to before, or

!The donations have been tallied and there are countless good, great and absolutely awe-
some items. There are so many items I can't even bring all of them to the auction because we'd be there all night! At last count I have sorted and folded over 200 yards of fabric and so many books and magazine I stopped counting. So I've cherried picked the very best items -- these include over a dozen quilt tops that are each gorgeous -- I can't believe peo-ple actually brought themselves to part with them. We've also got 3 sewing machines -- not sure I'll bring all three to the auction, but I'l at least pick the best of the three and bring the other two to the quilt show table. So this UFO elf is still inventorying, fondling and orga-nizing all the goodies. I promise this will be the best UFO yet -- bring your checkbooks as there are many items that will be in high demand! (P.S. Unless you have told me in ad-vance, I will not be accepting any additional donations the night of the auction) Ildi
