INTRODUCTION OF BUREAUCRACY
A system of government in which most of the
important decisions are made by state officials rather
than by elected representatives.
A bureaucracy is a group of non-elected officials of
a government or organization that implements the
rules, laws, ideas, and functions of their institution. In
other words take over the rule of legislature,
democratically elected representation of a nation.
DEFINITIONAn administrative or social system

IT HAS A HIERARCHICAL STRUCTURE.
THERE IS STRICT ADHERENCE TO RULES.
OFFICIALS ARE SELECTED ON THE BASIS OF MERIT.
EACH OFFICIAL IS SUBJECTED TO DISCIPLINE AND CONTROL IN THE CONDUCT OF HIS OFFICIAL WORK.
THE OFFICIALS ARE REMUNERATED BY FIXED SALARIES IN MONEY.
THE ACTIVITIES ARE DIVIDED ON THE BASIS OF A SYSTEMATIC DIVISION OF LABOUR.
THE OFFICE IS TREATED AS THE PRIMARY OCCUPATION OF THE OFFICIAL, IF NOT THE SOLE ONE.

The classic perspective on bureaucracy was proposed by German sociologist Max Weber at the beginning of this century.
He sought to describe an ideal organization- one that would be perfectly rational and would provide maximum efficiency of operation.
