A firm handshake shows your confidence and self-belief. Your handshake should be firm yet appropriate for the other party.

A firm handshake can create a favorable first impression.

A smile can turn the world around. Smiling makes the whole environment more comfortable for you and for the other person as well. Smile confidently when you enter your next meeting and witness the vibe become more positive.

Matching eye contact helps the other person believe in you. Your eyes display your confidence and authenticity. Make a comfortable eye contact with each person in the room.

Special Tip: Start with the person who you feel is the most shy in the room. Make them feel important.

Your style of walking indicates how you deal with your responsibilities – as an asset or as a burden. Walk tall with your head held high and let people know who they are dealing with.

A simple head gesture like nodding your head when in agreement display your attentiveness and draws the positive attention of the speaker towards you. Be sure to gently nod along with the conversation.

If you take a powerful bodily stance like walking/standing while presenting or spreading your arms out, it can help you create more space for yourself and hence draw greater attention to you. Use it well.

An good listener usually leans-in towards the speaker. This is a sign of your attentiveness and commitment. It feels that you are valuing the words of the speaker and showing him respect at the same time.

While in a meeting or discussion, make sure your palms are facing upwards/outwards. This indicates your openness and readiness for collaboration. It indicates that you are open to new ideas and are willing to try for the sake of greater good.

Your body language will be positive automatically and in-sync with your speech when you believe in what you are saying. It is easy for any on-looker to tell if you don’t completely believe in what you are saying. You may trick people with your words but then your body language will give you away.
