Grand Theft Auto Poster Art Series

The first of my Grand Theft Auto series is GTA3.I wanted to keep the design clean and simple.

I like the idea of taking someone from each title who isn’t the main character and having them

stand alone in the poster.

[created September 29th 2011]

The Vice City poster was perhaps the easiest and most natural poster to design.

The girl from the cover of the game. The whole neon pink vibe that the game had.

This works well visually.

San Andreas was the next in my series.I chose to use supporting character Big Smoke

for the poster. The brown colour is fitting of the feel of the game

- sunny and dusty.Obviously I’ve kept the design the same as the

rest of the series.

The final poster in the series is the more dark and broody GTA IV.

I chose to make the visuals representative of the more darker and greyer feel of the game,

This is the one poster where I felt the main character would be the best choice.

There’s so many changing faces in GTA IV, the one constant is the main character, Niko Bellic.

I made this minimal poster design for the 3D re-release of Monsters inc. I decided to just put

the year and not the month on the poster as there is normally a delay between the US and

UK release dates for Disney 3D films.

I kept it basic and had the two characters as the main focus.

I used the eye style in the logo for the ‘3D’ part to keep the visuals tied in together.

Monsters Inc 3D

The Little Mermaid 3D

So after the huge success of Disney re-releasing The Lion King in 3D, there will be a string of 3D

re-releases including The Little Mermaid.

I adopted the style of my Grand Theft Auto Series of posters with a single character

featured on a single colour.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

The English language re-release is due out in December 2011.

I used a promotional shot of Rooney Mara, turned it black & white & bumped up the contrast.

I was inspired by the trailer for the film.

Star WarsEpisode I

3DYet again I’ve picked a single character for the

focus of this poster design.

The lighting of this poster is done to create a shrouded feeling, reflective of the

featured Darth Maul.

Since I’ve designed this poster, the official design was released. It is awful. Seriously Google it.

Geek Art

Self explanitory.

Titanic 3DBeing re-released in 3D to coincide with the 100 year anniversary of the doomed ship setting sail.It made loads of money at the box office on it’s first outing, no doubt it’s second outing will be

just as big.

I chose to make the 3D into an iceberg. Bloody clever design idea really. If one were so inclined it could be suggested that the ‘3D’ is the iceberg sinking the ‘Titanic’ which is my interest in going to the cinema and watching a film with a pair of

ridiculous 3D specs on.

Midnight in Paris

A minimalist poster design for ‘Midnight in Paris.’I’m starting to go a bit cold on overly thought out

minimal poster designs like this though.Visually they’re clever but they’re becoming rather common and I’d like to see the trend

evolve into something new.
