Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Austria on July 30, 1947 and was christened Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger. He was raised with strict rules and morals instilled by his parents.

His parents were the local police chief, Gustav Schwarzenegger, and Aurelia.

The beginning of his bodybuilding career began when he wanted to join the soccer team.

He began lifting weights and his destiny was already starting to pan out.

He was awarded the title of Mr. Universe at age 20 and went onto win the Mr. Olympia contest seven times.

Schwarzenegger has remained a prominent presence in the sport of bodybuilding and he has written several books and numerous articles on the sport.

Family

On May 9, 2011, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger separated after 25 years of marriage. Schwarzenegger had fathered a son more than fourteen years earlier with an employee in their household.
