About me

Angelos Antoniou

Age: 22

I’m hard working and always give my all to achieve the best results possible, I don’t give up easily. I like to stretch my imagination to bring a new element to my designs by thinking in

a different light. I aim to work as hard as possible in order to become a more complete designer with as many strengths as possible.

Individual Project 2014/15 : 30 weeks To fully design and develop a product that will help to solve a chosen problem.

Utopia : AquaRealm

Utopia : AquaRealm

AquaRealm is a rafting aquaponics systems that is accompanied by two self contained ecosystems. This product would be place mainly into primary schools with year 2 pupils.

Aiming to encourage an environmentally thoughtful generation.

Zodiac live project 2015 : 3 weeks To design business class seating for a Boeing 787 aircraft. A minimum of 30 seats with the given area, the seat

must have a full flat bed. Look at new ways to improve the passengers in flight experience.

Key features included a modular rotating seating unit that can be adjusted to multiple aircraft this helps to combat a huge problem in aerospace seating design. it also has a full

flat beds & 15” TV

Zodiac live project

1:6 scaled models help to bring the product to life to see what improvement can be put into place. The seating mechanism work with a series of actuators. My main roles in this group project were:

Model making, table design & mechanism, product testing, concept ideation.

This table works uses existing mechanisms with the added feature of a push latch, the user would press slightly on the table, it will then be exposed enough that the

user can easily pull the table out and adjust accordingly .

Lowdi: INTUNE

Lowdi competition & blitz project 2014: 2 weeksTo design a product to accompany Lowdi’s first product a wireless bluetooth speaker.

INTUNE is a wearable speaker that picks up and amplifies sounds this is great for festival goers who are a distance from a stage, this is marketed at users who

want to travel with music and still be active

Omlet live project 2014: 3 weeksTo design a dog groom product.

Runners up

Omlet: live project

This is emitt, a dog grooming mitt that uses natural gestures that the dog is recognises. This makes for a less stress full bath time, there is a sponge layer and a reservoir of soap this helps

to increase lather by small amounts of pressure dispensing the soap.

Mechanisms

Mechanisms 2013: 12 weeksBuild a fully automated ball launcher using different mechanisms.

Winners in the ball launcher competitions

(Group work)

This ball launcher works when a power drill is attached to shaft on a piston which rotates, this is attached to a uni-versal joint which also rotates this enables the gear box to turn we the gear ratio can be altered and the finally to

the flywheels. A pivot in the base allows for greater movements.

DFM 2014: 6 weeksTo design a product for manufacture that has a no more than 3 different parts with a

maximum retail price of £25.

Design for manufacture

Design for manufacture

Snap stand is a naturally cooling laptop, it can be used at home on a desk or in best as it can be used in mul-tiple orientations. This stand can be neatly stored when not in use as it very slim and light weight. Have the laptop raised allows the laptop to naturally cool down with the need of electronics. By using laser cutting

methods this allows unlimited personal customisation.

Rhino & Vray modelling

Rhino modelling 2014: 3 weeksModel and render a object.

Rhino & Vray modelling

On this project we had to quickly learn the tools needed to model and render a product. This Giro helmet was the first model I created and rendered using Rhino and then rendered in Vray.
