Re: 2007 Annual Monitoring, Record Keeping and Reporting Requirementsof the Federal Standards for the Use or Disposal of Sewage Sludge, 40 CFR Part503

Pursuant to Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 503 Federal Standards for theUse or Disposal of Sewage Sludge (40 CFR Part 503), the City of New York,Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) has submitted herewith, oneannual report for each of the fourteen (14) Publicly Owned Treatment Works(POTWs) operated under the direction ofNYC DEP.

As a generator and/or preparer of sewage sludge, NYCDEP has provided thefollowing requisite information, in each annual report, for the reporting period ofJanuary 1, through December 31, 2007:

d. Name and address of the preparer and/or land applier who received the sewagesludge next;

Analytical results, reported as milligrams per kilogram, expressed as a dryweight, from monitoring pollutant concentrations in the sewage sludge. Alsoincluded, are the prescribed analytical methods, the frequency of sewagesludge sampling/monitoring, and the types of samples collected;

g. A certification statement and description of how the pathogen reductionrequirements were met, including, the type of process used, the standardoperating procedures;

h. A description of how the vector attraction reduction requirements were metand a certification statement that the vector attraction reductionrequirements were met; and,

1. A listing of all relevant environmental (Federal, State or Local) permits orconstruction approvals received or applied for.
