That Aren’t True

I’ll lose my job.

FACT

You’re more likely to lose your job if you DON’T get help.

Don’t let the fear of losing your job stop you from getting the help you need.

You may have many options to take time off work, including:

· Employee assistance programs. · Family and Medical Leave Act coverage. · Vacation time.

Your supervisor doesn’t even have to know you’re going to rehab.

Treatment is a quick fix.

Recovery is an ongoing process that continues after rehab.

FACT

Even after you leave rehab, you’ll need to work hard to remain sober and live a life in recovery. You may even need to return to rehab multiple times throughout your life.

It’s especially important to have an aftercare plan put in place to help you once you leave rehab. This includes things like 12-Step programs, therapy sessions, and having a solid support group of family and friends.

I need to hit

rock bottom first.

If you wait to hit rock bottom, it could be too late.

FACT

forced on me.

Many programs don’t use a religious approach.

FACTIf you don’t want a program that uses religion as a tool, there are other options.

You want to make sure that the program’s core values and beliefs reflect your own so you will get the most out of rehab.
