KELSOP COMPUTER PROGRAMME
for
ERS-APPLICATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
-
KELSOP Information 2 of 7
KELSOP is the abbreviation of KEMA Emergency Line SOlving Program andforms part of the KEMA Emergency Restoration System (ERS) for high voltageoverhead lines.
This Windows orientated program is developed to support the ERS-user withverification calculations.
KELSOP generates the following output:
Route overviews
Calculation and approval of results for the mechanical loads on the towers
Sag tension tables for phase- and earth conductors
Reports of the starting points wich can be used as worksheets for therealisation
KELSOP can be used on any common PC or laptop-computer.
KELSOP contains the following main items:
-
KELSOP Information 3 of 7
The LOAD tabcontains the following inputitems:
Wind pressure onconstruction
Wind pressure onconductors
Ice load on conductors
Temperatures
The CONDUCTOR tabcontains the following inputitems:
Conductor name to choosefrom a database
Number of conductors perphase
Mechanical properties(tension&temp.)
The TOWER tab
This screen gives an overviewof all relevant tower datainputted in theRoute Data Screen,Construction Data Screenand theGuy Wire Data Screen.
After determination of the mostlikely line-route, the tower typesand their specific characteristicscan be determined.
-
KELSOP Information 4 of 7
ROUTE DATA SCREENcontains the following inputitems:
Left and right spans
Relative Altitude (left andright)
Line angle
Top and side views will beproduced in real time.
The TOWER TYPESELECTION SCREENcontaines:
Overview of the possible towertypes.
Impracticable types are blockedautomaticcaly
The TOWERCONSTRUCTION DATASCREEN
Determination of towercharacteristics andconfigurations.
The towerconfiguration drawingwill be produced in real time.
-
KELSOP Information 5 of 7
The GUY WIRE DATASCREEN
The locations of all guy wireanchors will be inputed startingwith default locations for theconcenring towertype.
Because of safety and stabilitycertain guywires are linkedtogether. Also certain anchorpositions can not be inputed toprevent instability.
After inputing all data (or adjustment of the defaults), KELSOP calculates all relevant loads and forces, checks these values with the admissible strength and approves (or disapproves) the application of theERS.
KELSOP also provides worksheets to be used by field-engineers during the realisation of the ERS
The KELSOP program enables manager and field-engineer to apply the ERS in a safe way.
The following two screens shows some output sheets of KELSOP.
