ACADEMICS COMMITTEE:

Academics committee has completed all of the study sessions for the semester. We had one event where a counselor came to talk about stress management. We will be having a second event where we will par-ticipate in hot yoga the Saturday before exams for some stress relief.

ATHLETICS COMMITTEE:

This semester our sisterhood participated in a variety of Athletic events that built a strong sense of team spirit within our organization. Some of the

Intramural Sports teams included a Softball team and a Dodgeball team. Our Dodgeball team was number one in the Women's Division this year;

active sisters and candidates both were key participants in this victory!

COLLABORATIVE GREEK COUNCIL (CGC) COMMITTEE:

This semester the CGC committee held a children’s book drive, and we collected 214 books which were donated to the Salvation Army. Now that A.O.E. is a part of Greek Life, in the future, we hope to host events for other Greek organizations in our council.

EOS COMMITTEE:

EOS committee has worked non-stop this semester to revamp our webpage. It

looks fantastic! Please check it out at www.aoegamma.org

DAY AWAY/MEDs:

Day Away was a success once again this year. We had 58 girls getting cozy in a mountain lodge in Tennessee! It rained

all weekend, but that didn't stop us from having a wonderful time and creating

life-long sisterly bonds. The candidates soaked the MEDS with water balloons, and a garden hose. Everyone walked

away with a new bag, a dry erase board, an awesome T-shirt, a full stomach and

excellent memories.

At the end of the semester, the gamma chapter welcomed twelve outstanding new sisters. Each one of these ladies exceeded expectations as candidates and will be a wonderful addition to the

sorority.

FORMAL COMMITTEE:

On March 28, 2009, Alpha Omega Epsilon went to Wilmington, North Carolina to have a nautical themed Spring Formal on the Henrietta III, North Carolina's largest riverboat. Sisters, candidates, and guests were all dressed beautifully as they came aboard to enjoy an Italian dinner and dance the night away on the indoor dance floor, as well as the three out-door boat decks, while cruising through the beautiful downtown Wilming-ton. Formal 2009 yielded the highest attendance Alpha Omega Epsilon has ever seen.

PHILANTHROPY COMMITTEE:

The philanthropy committee got the sorority involved in many philanthropic events this semester. We took part in the Krispy Kreme Challenge, the Red and White Ball, as well as Relay for Life. We also held a clothing exchange. All of these events were very successful and we look forward to partici-pating again in years to come.

ENGINEERING WEEK COMMITTEE:

This semester, the sorority participated in the Day at the Spa with SWE event during e-week. In the future, we hope to host an event, but this committee was new this semester.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE:

The Fundraising chair continued to organize the sisters for their shifts working the basketball game and kept up relations with the NCSU Bookstore.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE:

The P.D. committee held several events this semester. These included an Engineering Career Fair How-to, several guest speakers from both the

professional world and the Marine Corps, presentations, and a driving range tutorial.

SISTERHOOD COMMITTEE:

The Sisterhood Committee has hosted several successful events over this past semester. So the twelve candidates could get to know sisters and get their interviews before Day Away, we held a mixer in late February to allow them to do so. Sisters and candidates played "Trainwreck", and we learned a lot of fun facts about everyone during this game. In the beginning of April, we held the semester Sisterhood Mixer. Due to our large numbers, we were not able to go to The Melting Pot, but instead we had Cheesecake Factory cheesecake and fondue in Mann Hall to accommodate everyone's busy schedules. It was a good time by all, and sisters even got to take home pansies!

SOCIAL COMMITTEE:

Social committee held a variety of exciting events this semester. To start off the semester, we held a Valentine's Day social complete with sweet

treats, music and dancing! In March the gamma girls took a trip to Build-A-Bear where everyone had a blast designing and dressing their very own bear! A few weeks later, we held a Laser Tag event at Adventure Landing and the girls got the opportunity to team up and show each other who's

boss! In April the gamma girls got together for Girls Night In, a mock slumber party. We enjoyed pizza, ice cream, a movie and had fun socializ-

ing in our pajamas!
