Caryaire Fixed Bar Grills are ideal for Supply as well as Return
air, in both Cooling as well as Heating. It can be used in high
side wall or ceiling applications. Available in dozens of
different cores with a choice of frames. Optional Opposed
Blade Damper can be supplied in Aluminium or Steel
construction. Ideal for Continuous lengths with maximum
singe piece not exceeding 1800mm. Lengths greater than
1800mm are furnished in multiple sections which can be
field aligned using the optional alignment strips. All
Deflection bars are fixed and are parallel to the Long
Dimension. Bars, Frames and Spacer are all Extruded

Square Diffuser (Series 704)
Caryaire Square Diffuser AS704 is an excellent architectural diffuser designed
with multiple cones, placed in a single plane. It provides excellent diffusion as
the air exits in all four directions and hugs the ceiling to provide efficient
mixing and performance. It features a removable core which provides for easy
installation and for easy access to the ductwork / damper. Available in many
configurations of frames for different applications.
Diffuser's Outer frames and central core are manufactured from stamped aluminium sheet or high quality aluminium
extrusion mechanically crimped available in following types
AS-704 - 4 way core with stamped centre core & extruded aluminium frame
AS-704-ASR - 4 way core with stamped core & anti smudge extruded aluminium frame

Caryaire Spherical Spot Diffuser ASJN904 is a long throw diffuser designed to throw
relatively large quantities of air over long throws and is suitable to condition large spaces
such as terminal buildings, factories, warehouses and auditoriums. The “Ball” can be
swiveled +/- 36, 40, 42 degrees from the horizontal/vertical plane for sizes 200,304 & 410
respectively. An Optional Steel Butterfly damper (2 flap) can be mounted at the back of the
“Ball” which would be operable from the mouth of the Diffuser.
Caryaire Circular Diffuser ASC704 is a designed with multiple cones, placed in a single
plane and is mounted flush with the ceiling. It provides a uniform 360 degree diffusion as
the air exits in all directions and hugs the ceiling to provide excellent mixing and
performance. It features a removable core which provides for easy installation into the rigid
round collar/duct and for easy access to the ductwork.

Caryaire Linear Slot Diffusers are aesthetically designed air terminals, which ensure a
uniform blanket of air that adheres to the ceiling even at low flow rates, making them an
ideal choice for use with variable air volume systems. They are ideal for continuous length
applications Slot width of 20mm (AG280) and 25mm (AG290) are available. The diffuser can
have up to Eight Slots. The Integral pattern controllers can adjust the air direction. Tegular
slots diffusers available for T15 + T24 ceilings.
Caryaire floor grilles are specially designed to fit into raised floors. These are required in
places like computer rooms where load & damage resistance are of utmost importance.
Caryaire floor grilles are a static grille assembly which can handle supply air or extract air.
They fit into raised floors. Caryaire floor grilles come in two varieties.
Model : AG 450-AH (Heavy duty aluminum construction.)
Model : AG 450-GL (light duty GI frame, Aluminium Louvers).
Caryaire Double Louver Grills features 2 sets of fully adjustable blades to provide maximum
flexibility in supplying air into an occupied space. The Front Louvers can be Horizontal
(Model DL101) or Vertical (Model DL102). The Rear louvers have opposite orientation as
compared to the front. They are usually used to supply air from the side wall . The attractive
beveled edge frame has a standard width of 18mm and can be supplied in the optional
23mm width as well.

Caryaire Non Vision Door Grills are made from high quality extruded Aluminium sections,
offered in high quality powder coated finish. Available options are Single Frame (AN180)
and with Counter Frame (AN181). The Louvers are designed for non-see-through opera-
tion. The Grill may be mounted with screws through the Frame.

Caryaire Exhaust valves are an effective and a simple way to exhaust air in domestic and
comfort ventilation applications. The Exhaust Valve has a convex valve disc and adjustment
of air flow rate is achieved by rotating the valve disc. When the desired air flow rate is
achieved the valve disc can be locked. These Exhaust valves are available in powder coated
steel or plastic construction. Sizes are 100,125,150 and 200mm Dia.
Caryaire “EyeBall” Nozzle Diffuser ASJN804 is an excellent choice when you need to throw
supply air over a large distance into the occupied zone, particularly when ceiling diffusers
are simply too high/impractical to mount. The Diffuser has a characteristic “EYEBALL” which
can be moved in different directions to provide a very wide range of movement from the
side wall. The pivoting movement of the Eyeball is ± 20° to ± 30°.
Caryaire Multicone Jet Diffuser ASJN704 is a versatile diffuser designed to handle large air
flow rates and provides relatively long throws and is suitable to condition large spaces such
as terminal buildings, factories, warehouses and auditoriums. The core is pivoted on its axis
which allows for complete rotation/reversal of the core and changes from normal diffusion
to jet throw patterns.

(Motorized) & Smoke Dampers (Motorized)
UL does not prescribe either Product design or material to be used, however it has set out stringent and comprehensive testing
processes and procedures in UL standards, specific to the product.
UL Tests are performed at UL approved and Certified Labs. Once the tests are successful, UL provides a Certification and provides
strict guidelines for the Manufacturer to adhere to in order to keep the Certification. UL also prescribes all the limitations and
restrictions that need to be followed for each damper model which is certified.
UL Testing Procedures, Follow up Services and Stringent Control mechanisms ensure that the Product being supplied is as per the
approved design and within the limitations assigned to it.

Fire and Smoke Dampers:
A Fire & Smoke Damper (FSD) is a device which is designed to be activated in a fire
condition, the system design may call for the FSD to open or close in an emergency
An FSD always has an actuator as well as a temperature sensor which is designed to
cut off the power to the actuator at a particular temperature. An FSD can also be
operated remotely from the BMS or Fire Panel. An FSD is designed to stop the spread
of flames, smoke or allow smoke evacuation in emergency conditions
Caryaire FSD-B-U has a fire rating of 1 ½ hours in Static as well as Dynamic
Conditions. It carries the UL555 & UL555S Certifications. FSD-B-U is a CLASS 1
leakage rated damper
The Actuator is factory installed and tested, it carries its own UL certification and is
classified and tested for Elevated Temperature of 350 degrees F. Class 3 Leakage
model also available: FSD-A-U, which is without blade seals
RTR+OCS
Caryaire Resettable Temperature Response device (RTR) is used individually or with open close switch (OCS) in Fire/Fire & Smoke Dampers. RTR
has a UL recognized Temperature sensor which will cut off electric supply to the damper actuator when the temperatures exceed 165deg.F
whereas OCS indicates the Damper open or close position. RTR is always provided in Fire / Fire & Smoke Dampers which have electric actuators as
operators, however RTR+OCS is supplied when asked for. RTR or RTR +OCS are installed in the factory itself. In Fire Condition, the RTR will close
and lock the damper, when temperature exceed 165deg.F and the damper can be reopened, on cessation of Fire Condition, by pressing the Re-
Set button on the RTR or RTR+OCS. RTR has option of providing one temperature sensor or two temperature sensors.

A Fire Damper is a device which is designed to SHUT in a fire condition. It
normally stays fully open. The Damper Blades are held open using a fusible
link, which is designed to melt at a particular temperature and release the
blades which are held open using a spring, to close the damper and stop
the spread of flames through the damper for a specified duration
A fire damper cannot be operated remotely, as there is no motor and no
command can be given to it from the BMS or Fire Panel. A fire damper
requires localized heat in order to trigger its fusible link release.
Caryaire FLD-S-U and FLD-S-U-D have a fire rating of 1 ½ hours in Static as
well as Dynamic Conditions. They carry the UL555 Certifications
Fire Dampers are not designed to stop the spread of Smoke, hence
there are no blade edge seals, Leakage class is not applicable to Fire
Dampers

Smoke Damper
A Smoke Damper (SD) is a device which is designed to be activated in an
emergency condition, the system design may call for the SD to open or
close in an emergency. An SD always has an actuator but no temperature
sensor, It is operated using a signal from the smoke alarm or the BMS or the
Fire Panel by cutting off the power to the Actuator to either open or close
the damper. In an NO damper, the damper will close in an emergency
condition, In an NC damper, the damper will open in an emergency
condition
An SD is designed to stop the spread of flames & smoke or allow smoke
evacuation in emergency conditions. Caryaire SD-B-U carries the UL555S
Certification and is a CLASS 1 leakage rated damper SD-B-U is a Class 1
leakage rated damper and has blade edge seals.

Steel Volume control damperModel CD1616-A is an opposed blade volume control damper with 3V style Blades. It
regulates the flow of air inside a duct or and air handler or other air handling equipments.
It may be used to cut off the air to an unused room or to regulate the air in different parts
of the building depending upon temperature, climate control, occupancy etc. Its
operation can be manual or automatic. Manual dampers are turned by a handle on the
outside of a duct. Automatic dampers are used to regulate airflow constantly and are

Model AU350 is an opposed blade volume control damper with Extruded Aluminium Airfoil
Blades. It regulates the flow of air inside a duct or an air handler or other air handling

Caryaire Round (butterfly type) Control Damper: MODEL CDR features a Circular Single skin
blade mounted to a shaft, enclosed in a cylindrical Sleeve. The Sleeve contains two rolled
stiffened beads to allow easy sealing of spiral ductwork joints. A gasket is provided inside to
seal the blade in closed condition.

specially designed for use in air conditioning, ventilation and for air intake and exhaust. It

Caryaire model AG 663 damper is non return gravity operated damper. It is specially designed
for use in air conditioning, ventilation and for air intake and exhaust. It has horizontally
mounted blades free to rotate on horizontal axis. Normally damper is closed; Air pressure or
air velocity opens & closes the damper. It is manufactured either in aluminium or galvanized
steel sheet. Back draft dampers are used in HVAC systems to allow flow of air in one direction
and prevent airflow in the opposite direction. The Pressure at which pressure relief damper
starts to open, is adjustable.

Caryaire Rectangular Dissipative Silencer has a straight Pod with medium dynamic
insertion loss and medium pressure drop. It features a solid radius nose piece and
acoustically transparent perforated line enclosing the Fibrous media. Both ends have
38mm slip flanges.
Rectangular Silencer P (Model SP)
0.8mm Galvanized steel outer casing. Internal baffles constructed from 0.8mm perforated steel and filled with inorganic glass fiber
acoustic material packed under 5% compression to eliminate voids due to settling.
The Silencer is capable of handling a differential pressure of 8” wg. Standard Lengths are 900mm, 1500mm, 2100mm and 3000mm.
Intermediate lengths also available on request. Casing can be provided in variations of 1.0, 1.2 and 1.6mm galvanized steel.
Minimum Width (W) of the silencer module is 475mm and maximum width is 915mm. Maximum height of single module is 915mm.
For silencers over 915mm W or 915mm H, identical multiple modules are supplied which can be field stacked and assembled.
Constructional Details
Caryaire Circular Dissipative Silencer for Axial Flow Fans offer Sound absorption
capability at the exit or inlet of an Axial Flow Fan. The Endcaps have matching holes to
match the flanges on the fan and the silencer is mounted directly onto the fan.
In CAF-R-P Model , a pod is provided with acoustic filling. The size of pod matches the fan
hub diameter.
Round Silencer for Axial Fan
0.8mm Galvanized steel outer casing. Internal surface is constructed from 0.8mm perforated steel and filled with inorganic glass fiber
acoustic material. The Endcaps are made from 3mm Steel, and will have matching holes to match the holes on the fan casing/flange.

Constructional Details
Louvers (IL338)
Caryaire Louver Model IL338 is suited for exterior Fresh Air Intake or Exhaust. It features
an architecturally pleasing frame with beveled edges containing horizontally fixed
louvers at a 45 degree angle. It is supplied with a Aluminium bird screen as standard or an
optional metallic anti-insect screen. The Blade Pitch is 25mm.
An optional Opposed Blade Damper can be mounted on the back of the Louver with its
operating mechanism from the inside of the building.
Available in Powder Coated Finish in Caryaire White (CW) or Caryaire off White (CO)

strong heavy duty steel frame with 50mm Flanges and 76mm depth containing
horizontally fixed Aluminium louvers at a 45 degree angle and at a blade pitch of 110mm.
It is supplied with a Steel bird screen. The An optional Opposed Blade Damper can be
mounted on the inside of the wall opening Available in Powder Coated Finish in Caryaire
White (CW) or Caryaire Off White (CO)
Louvers (IL350)
Caryaire Louver Model IL350 is Extruded Aluminium Drainable louver designed to
have superior resistance to water penetration. Drainable louvers are characterized
by gutters at the front edge of the blade to prevent droplets of rainwater from
cascading from blade to blade and becoming entrained in intake Air flow. Vertical
gutters in the Jamb frame carry the water to the Sil frame where it exits the louver
assembly. Drainable Intake/Exhaust Louvers generally have an enhanced resis-
tance to water penetration than conventional louvers.
