The group’s major verticals, Aerospace (Aerospace components manufacturing), Consumer (Consumer durables and Toys), and Infra (Infrastructure), cater to these diverse needs of engineering and manufacturing clients. AAequs Infra, the infrastructure arm of the Aequs Group, provides infrastructure to manufacturing, and engineering. Aequs SEZ, established in 2009 in Belagavi, is India’s first notified Precision Engineering and Manufacturing Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

AAequs has achieved several firsts to its credit. Aerospace Processing India Pvt. Ltd. (API), a joint venture with Magellan Aerospace is the first special processing unit in India to be approved by both Airbus and Boeing. India’s first and only 10K ton Hydraulic press for forging is operational in SQuAD Forging, a JV with Aubert & Duval from France. The SEZ also hosts the country’s only aerospace FTWZ and material processing center. Additionally, Aerostructures Assemblies India (AAI), a JV with Sweden-based Saab Group, is India’s first private company to work on door plugs for Airbus.

ApaApart from its SEZ expansion, the company has also strategically expanded its manufacturing ecosystem through partnerships. In 2015, Aequs expanded its presence in North America by acquiring T&K Machine. This facility caters to the needs of Boeing, Collins Aerospace, among others. In 2016, with the acquisition of French-based SiRA Groupe, the company improved its ability to deliver to European customers such as Airbus, Safran, Dassault, among others.

IIn 2016, Aequs forayed into the Consumer segment to cater to all the infrastructure requirements of toys – plastic and electronic – industry. The upcoming plant in Koppal dedicated to Toys manufacturing, a part of Govt. of Karnataka’s Toy Cluster initiative with spanning across 400 acres will not only manufacture high-end electronic toys but will also oer features and benefits unmatched elsewhere in India with the capability to design and develop capacities as per customer requirements.

TThe company has won the Airbus Innovation Award in 2016 for establishing its unique aerospace manufacturing ecosystem and the Airbus Detailed Parts Partner Award (D2P) for three consecutive years, in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
