THE INVOLVEMENT OF NON-MUSLIM IN THE MATTERS OF ISLAMIC

RELIGIOUS ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC LAW

ABSTRAK

The issue of involvements of non-Muslim in the Islamic religious matters are still a

sensational discussion nowadays. Most of the issues discussed are matters that are

sensitive among the Muslims. Until now, debates and discussions among the

intellectual Muslims and Islamic scholars regarding the issue of kalimah Allah, the

issue of hudud, entering mosque andsurau, reciting and learning the Quran, convey

and answering Islamic greeting, attending brea fasting event, becoming a !hariah

court "udge, assisting the Qurbanfestival duringIdul Adha, selling mushaf, religious

boos, hanging Islamic calligra#hy on the business #remises and involve in hub halalbusiness field and also Islamic baning. Their involvement in those matters has arose

confusion among the Muslims society in Malaysia. Thus this research aims to identify

and clarify the #osition of the non-Muslims in Malaysia, e$#lain their rights and

res#onsibilities and also to elaborate the #osition of their involvement in the Islamic

religious matters. This research also aims to search for solutions to solve those issues

based on a##ro#riate guidelines that are in accordance with the current changing of

globali%ation era, based on the Quran and sunnah. This discussion is based on

argumentations of classical and contem#orary Islamic scholars by using analysis

document method that focuses on the Islamic law. The research discovers that thereare certain issues that the non-Muslim cannot interfere in the Islamic matters such as

the use of kalimah Allah, hudud, becoming a !hariah court "udge, convey and

answering Islamic greeting, selling mushafor Islamic boos and hanging Islamic

calligra#hy at the business #remises. Meanwhile, a #art or other things are allowed in

Islam such as entering the mosque or surau, reciting and learning the Quran,

attending brea fasting event, assisting the Qurbanfestival during theAidul Aidha,

involving in the hub halal business and Islamic baning. The sensitivity of Muslim

ummahshould be #rotected and taen care of in order to #reserve the holiness of

Islam. Thus, a wise a##roach of Islamic #reaching should be continuously a##lied

among the non-Muslim by e$#osing the beauties of Islam as a universal religion that

can be acce#ted by all to #reserve the #eace and harmony of our multi religion

country.
