Local areas in Birmingham bring together festivals such as Bonfire night and Diwali into one community. Many gather together to take part in the celebrations. Handsworth Wood Police Team Visit Local School By Upasna Gera Local Handsworth Wood police team make a wise trip to St.Augustines primary school. They share and celebrate the soli- darity of the local community.. The police tam including police dogs show these young children how to avoid dangers in the road and community. Health and safety discussions took place in the school. The children had a great time, now it has been underlined that the team will visit the school every year. Pitbull Terriers are banned by law now’’ The banning of Pitbull Terriers have helped many people in the community feel much more safe and aware. This is a great a magnificent achievement made; the po- lice officers who are going to be re warded will be recognised. The story began from an argument which took place amongst two men from Handsworth which led to the dog attacks. Read The members of public in Birmingham are set to be honoured at a special awards ceremony & 40 police of- ficers will be recieving their well deserved award, for the previous actions took place that have resulted in lives saved, dangerous dogs captured by police witnesses. Due to this many laws have been carefully and well changed to help make society a better and more safe place to live in. Since Feburary this year the officer in the pic- ture (Moshlina Begum) has witnessed first hand horrific injuries, she helped saved many lives in the community, which is why this tremendous awards ceremony will take place to rewward those who magnificently helped indi- viduals.Pc Perry said ’’T hese rewards are well deserved’’
