Shop for functional and decorative pieces of pottery made here locally. Continue along Lookout Mountain to DeSoto Falls, located in DeSoto State Park. Stop for lunch at the Mountain Inn Restaurant at DeSoto State Park ($7-30/person) Visit the Little River Canyon Center to watch the 15 minute documentary on the National Preserve. Take the short hike or drive to Little River Falls. Continue along the Little River Canyon National Preserve scenic drive and stop at the overlooks. In the wet season, stop at the Grace Falls overlook, to see a waterfall comparable to what you might see in a jungle. Shop historic downtown Gadsden

Take a drive to Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro for what

might be the most adventurous shopping you will ever do! Just down the street from Unclaimed Baggage Center you can

dine on country cooking at McCutchen’s Magnolia House, which

was built in 1890. ($10/person)

Return to Fort Payne for more shopping in the historic downtown
