No Compromise

The apostle Paul organized many churches all over the known world. He was very pleased with the church at Philippi. We can learn a lot from this faithful group of Christians and the words that Paul wrote to them.

We need to be advancing the truth of God at all times in all ways. If we are compromising in any area, we will not thrive - not personally and not as a group. In this present time we are living, there is so much at stake. If the body of Christ is not holding up the Truth of God and living it as an example before a lost world, then how will they be saved?

We need faithful people who are committed to sharing whatever gifts the Lord has given them for the sake of the Gospel. God wants us to be willing servants of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The smallest acts can make a big difference. Just showing up means a lot. Excuses are easy, and even understandable

at times. But God’s word tells us that it is not enough for us to say we have faith. Our statement of faith is proven true in our actions. We need to seek God’s will, as in-dividuals and as a community of believers. We don’t pray for God to reveal His will to us simply to know it, but also to obey it and live it without compromise!

We need Godly vision ... a rev-elation of what our future could look like if we would only put all of our trust in the One and Only true God. We find this revelation when we seek Him, the source of all wisdom and knowledge, through His One and Only Son, Jesus. Be loving. Be optimistic. Be hopeful. Be inspired by God! Whatever we do, we cannot give up and compromise the beautiful gift we have been entrusted with. Together, we can reach the lost and increase His kingdom for our good and for His glory!

Worship must always contain an element of the “other-ness” of God. We must be ever mindful that the One we come before is high, holy and completely off the chats of our comprehension. Grace must never become an excuse to ig-nore the heights of Who it is we are dealing with here. Yes, in this beautiful mystery of the new covenant we have been welcomed in close, and been given the privilege of drawing near to the Almighty God. And yet we must never allow ourselves to think that He is not as fearsome as He was in those days of the old covenant. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He shines with holiness and righteousness just as much as He ever did. And yet, here’s the mystery of this wonderful new covenant: He has made for us a way to come gloriously close to Him. If we diminish our view of His holiness, we cheapen the mystery of grace. But when we approach Him as awesome and otherly, our souls won’t take for granted the cost of the cross – and we’ll appreciate more

fully the immeasurable value of His mercy. A big view of God will also inform the details of our everyday lives. If He’s too small to us, we’ll find ourselves weakened in our approach to life. Can a small God strengthen, empower, protect and inspire? We will live a small life if we carry a belittled sense of who Jesus is in our hearts. But a grand view of who God is will lead to some great adventures in the kingdom of God, and infuse power and purpose into our everyday doing and thinking. The company of heaven know that God is holy, and it propels them into a never-ceasing anthem of the highest praise in the heavens:

“Holy, holy holy is the Lord God AlmightyWho was and is to come.” Revelation 4:8

As we begin to face the holiness of God, our lives resound with that very same anthem, here and now upon the earth.

Please keep ALL our Community in prayer!

Also for the people that God would want to be on the weekend … especially those He may put on YOUR heart to invite.

“Our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed.”~ Romans 8:18

PRAISE GOD/CONGRATULATIONS:• Congratulations to Doug Magnifico and Pat Bothwell on their up-coming marriage, March 24, 2012. May the love of God be above you to overshadow you, beneath you to uphold you, before you to guide you, behind you to protect you, close beside you and within you to make you able for all things, and to reward your faithfulness with the joy and peace which the world cannot give -- neither can it take away. • Debbie and I would like to thank the LITD community for their support and prayers, especially over the past year. I am completely healed, my pancreas has stopped leaking and I have regained my strength. It seems so insufficient to just say “thanks” but know that we were both deeply moved and humbled by your continued show of support. Blessings, Steven DeCillis
