Beloved in Christ,

The Bible says, “For in the multitude of dreams and many words there is also vanity. But Fear God”. (Ecclesiastes 5:7).

For the question, “Do dreams have deep meaning?”, there are various answers. Some answer with a yes and others with a no. Doctors say when we are in an unconscious state, the deepest desires and wants we have, are expressed in the form of dreams.

Not everything we dream about gets fulfilled in real life. God's Word says, “Much dreaming and many words are meaning less. Therefore, fear God.” (Ecclesiastes 5:7). So do not fear about the bad dreams you have, instead surrender them to the Lord and fear Him alone. God is with you.Do doctors or your relatives say you won't live long? Do such words disturb your sleep? The Bible says, “A dream comes when there are many cares.” (Ecclesiastes 5:3).

The words that come from people might be words that trouble us. But God has said, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10).

Because you fear God, you do not have to fear anything else. “They will come at you from one d i r e c t i o n b u t fl e e f r o m y o u i n seven.” (Deuteronomy 28:7).

This is the blessing that belongs to God's children. “You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, neither the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” (Psalms 91:5,6,11).

All that you need to do is to fear God!

Yours in Him, Brother Vee

Page 2: You Can Help! · I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10). Because

From Fear to Faith Stephen is a man who weeps deeply over the lostness of those in his village. He didn’t always feel passionate about those who don’t know about the one true God. In fact, his family was very devout in their believe in Hinduism. He relates a story about his grandfather, a Hindu priest.

“My grandfather was a priest in a Hindu temple. He used to do all the rituals with utmost determination, but nothing seemed to give him peace and happiness. He was so much troubled in his heart that he actually committed suicide in the very temple he built. My own father was very distraught and sought emotional support. The neighbors next to our house happened to be Christians. They came and took my father to church. Because of their love and care, my father came to know about Jesus Christ along with my mom who was also convinced that Jesus is the true God. In this way, my family was redeemed.”

Stephen’s parents committed their lives to serving God and even made a promise to dedicate their first male child to ministry. Stephen is that firstborn son. Stephen’s father is named Peter, and to date, he has started over 20 house churches. Over the years, Peter suffered much persecution and was severely bloodied and beaten. The family was poor and often did not have money for food or clothing. Stephen vowed he would not go into ministry and subject himself to that type of life. Instead, Stephen lived a life of disobedience and fought surrendering to God for service. Seeing the hardship of his parents, he started a job to support them. His father told him that he should do ministry because he had made a covenant with God, but Stephen refused to listen to him.

The years went by and Stephen suffered from a tumor growing on his face. Three different times the tumor was removed and grew back. Stephen felt in his heart that God was trying to get his attention. He confessed to the Lord

that he did not want to do ministry because of the suffering of his parents. The Lord finally captured Stephen’s heart. He prayed to the Lord, “If you really want me to do the ministry, then Lord use me.”

Stephen admits that ministry has not been easy. There have been times when he had only 20 rupees ( 27¢) to his name to feed his hungry wife, but God never failed to feed them. People looked down on them and mistreated them, but he states God was faithful. They have seen God performing miracles and answering prayers for His glory and drawing people unto Himself. Over 70 people gather at his church for Sunday worship service. It has become a channel of blessing for many people in his village.

Earlier this year, a MVN team visited with Stephen. They could not go into his village as there was a man with a machete who had been trying to kill him for over two weeks. When Stephen was asked about how his ministry was coming along, he did not talk about the man with the knife, but sobbed uncontrollably and said, “There are so many lost in our villages!” His personal safety is no longer the issue on his mind, but the need of so many for a Savior and Redeemer. He now views his circumstances and the conditions around him through the eyes of Christ. Stephen asks that we pray for a mighty revival in his village and neighboring villages. Today, Stephen leads the prayer effort for MVN in India. He is a core leader as well as a regional leader with over 20 church planters on his team representing many churches, new believers, and baptisms.
