A collaborative task in the Comenius-eTwinning project “AIMS- Alternatives
for Innovative Math Study”
First, we went to the shop… There were so many products, we could not decide what to buy!
Finally, we chose the things we needed and bought them.
Price of an Entire Package
1 kilo (1000 g) of

The ingredients we need for one pie (10 portions), in grams (1 cup = 250 g; 1 tablespoon = 20 g): For the dough:
* flour - 1.75 cups = 1.75 x 250 g = 437.5 g = approx. 440 g * salt - a pinch = half of a tablespoon = 20 g : 2 = 10 g
* butter (cut into small pieces) - 3/4 cup = 3/4 x 250 g = 187.5 g = approx. 190 g
* cold water – 4.5 tablespoons = 4.5 x 20 g = 90 g (= 90 ml) For the filling:
* unsweetened cocoa - 3 tablespoons = 3 x 20 g = 60 g * sugar - 1 cup = 1 x 250 g = 250 g
* water - 1 cup = 1 x 250 g = 250 g (= 250 ml) * butter - 2 tablespoons = 2 x 20 g = 40 g
* flour - 1/3 cup = 1/3 x 250 g = 83.(3) g = approx. 80 g * 3 egg yolks

(we use a total of 440 g + 80 g = 520 g of flour and a total of 190 g + 40 g = 230 g of butter)
