This year’s National Conference held in Austin proved to be a big success with our distributors.

Many of you shared with me your thoughts about our presentation and others made their way to the Kalogris booth to sign up for a monthly donation. Once again I had an opportunity to cover the highlights of 2012 and share with our donors and potential new donors what we have

in store for 2013.

I would like to send out a special thanks to Reliv Distributors, Joyce Holthaus and Jennifer Eaves, for their participation during our segment and Papa Noel trip winners, Tony Pezzullo and wife, Joni Schwartz as well as Reliv Employees, Jennie Santhuff and Ellen Redman for

sharing their experience in Haiti with all of us. These trip winners were able to see firsthand the positive impact the Foundation is having in Haiti and they have joined us in spreading the word

that there is still so much more we can do.

We are hopeful everyone left Conference with a renewed sense of

purpose in helping us not only achieve, but exceed our goals for

2013.

Thank you.

R. Scott Montgomery Chairman, Reliv Kalogris Foundation

A Message from Our Chairman

March 2013

For Presidential Director, Joyce Holthaus, the

Foundation has been something that she and hus-band, Steve have supported for many years. Joyce opened up the segment by talking about the op-

portunity to go on many Reliv trips over the past 20 years, several with Dr. Ted, and shared how he

would always say “we must take care of the chil-dren". Joyce told him she would, and she has kept that promise as a monthly PVQ donor. Joyce and

Steve know that their monthly donation feeds 12 kids for a month, and that is something to be

proud of!

Thanks Joyce for your ongoing support.

Jennifer Eaves was a member of the Synchronized Swim Team who took first place at the

2012 Rally for the Mission. As such, she made the perfect spokesperson to remind distrib-utors to sign up for the Rally for the Mission that will take place at the Orlando Conference in

July. Jennifer reminded everyone that:

The Rally for the Mission is the RKF’s only fundraiser for the year.

The goal is to have 100% of all conference attendees register for the Rally for the

Mission.

Your $20 donation provides reserved seating for one of the most entertaining por-

tions of conference, and the cast is made up of our very own Reliv distributors and

employees.

And it’s tax deductible.

If you have attended in the past, you know it is a blast,

and if you haven’t, you won’t want to miss it! Don’t know what to expect? Check out highlights from last

year’s Rally for the Mission.

Not registered for conference? Do it NOW.

Are You Ready to Rally?

Austin Recap

As many of you know, Reliv distributors and employees who wanted to go to Haiti with Papa

Noel submitted a letter expressing why. Distributors, Tony Pezzullo and Joni Schwartz, wrote in their letter that they did not want to go to Haiti, and that was why they knew they had to go. And Reliv Employees, Ellen Redman and Jennie Santhuff, were thrilled to learn they

had been chosen to go as well. As families here in the USA began to prepare for the Christ-mas holiday season, our four winners joined the RKF staff for a trip that will be one they re-

member for years to come.

On opening night at Conference, distributors heard from Ellen and Jennie talk about their trip,

their experience with the kids and the impact the Foundation is having in Haiti. Ellen and Jen-nie have become two more “Ambassadors” for the Foundation by helping us raise the aware-

ness of and interest in the work of the Foundation.

Tony Pezzullo and Joni Schwartz were able to

share the words of their winning letter as it came to life in the Papa Noel video shown in Austin. The video opened with the words “Dear Papa Noel”

and the audience could see, hear and feel the emotions from not only the winners, but also from

the children we visited.

Tony and Joni summarized their feelings on stage

by reminding all of us that we can continue to make a difference by being part of the solution,

and challenged everyone to help us double our an-nual revenue, thereby enabling us to reach more

kids. Reliv Master Affiliates Tony Pezzullo and Joni Schwartz

Welfareville

Many of you have followed the story of Welfare-ville, a community of squatters who live on govern-

ment owned land in the Philippines. This story un-folded last year after a visit by Reggie Ament and

Kathy Brawley to one of our feeding programs located in Welfareville and run under the direction of Pastor George Padilla and his wife Blessie.

This visit had a profound impact on them and one

that resulted in our next RKF building project.

At last year’s St Louis International Conference, we introduced the Himig Paga-asa Children’s Chorus,

made up of children in our feeding program. And in spite of living conditions that exposes families to

infectious and contagious diseases, these children sang of hope for a better tomorrow and their

gratefulness for the RKF feeding program.

The children are currently provided two hot meals

a week and daily Reliv shakes. But without a build-ing, the volunteers struggle with a tarped roof

propped between shacks that leaks during heavy rains and the heat of the sun on dry days.

Very soon, these challenges will be a thing of the past. The 2012 Rally for the Mission has

enabled us to provide funding for a modest 3-story building that will be utilized as follows:

1st floor, multi-purpose hall. This will be an area to be utilized for worship services,

the children’s daily feedings, daycare, seminars, workshops and livelihood training

for the community.

2nd floor, kitchen, restrooms and additional meeting space.

3rd floor, storage for RKF product, room for a small clinic and office space.

A ground breaking ceremony took place in January and the project is progressing. A building dedication is scheduled for sometime in May and we will have coverage of this event as part of the Kalogris segment at the International Conference in Orlando. The generosity of the Re-

liv distributors continues to help us provide much needed support to the volunteers who are

working with the poor and malnourished kids in our programs.

This project should indeed bring these children hope for a better tomorrow!

2013 Building Project

RKF House

We recently celebrated the 5-year anniversary of the RKF House in the Philippines. This was the first build-ing project and one that has an ongoing impact on the

poor and malnourished children of Cavite.

Throughout these five years, this facility has been maintained and kept in pristine condition by Sr. Beth Perez. Over 2,500 children have benefited from the

RKF feeding program that takes place on the 1st floor and up to 160 students a year attend school in the

classrooms on the 2nd floor.

Children that live in the dumpsite survive in living conditions unimaginable with little to no opportunities. Sr. Beth took on the challenge of providing these kids what is needed to pre-pare them for attending a public school. Here is Sr. Beth with a group of kids who enrolled in

her program.

These kids that are part of the feeding program and attend the RKF School have a unique op-

portunity to help transform their lives in many ways.

These kids, pictured in this 2007 photo, were among the first group of children attending classes offered at the RKF House. Fast forward five years and we asked Sr. Beth to follow up

on a couple of the kids to see what they are doing now.

Jim

This is Jim, now 8-years-old. He is now in the 3rd grade in a pub-lic school in Cavite. He is the 7th child of 10 siblings living in the dump site of the City. His mother is a laundry woman and his fa-

ther is a scavenger. Jim was with the very first group of students in our daycare and is very talented. He receives school supplies

and a uniform from the RKF Home so he can continue his school-ing. In the group photo, you will find Jim sitting in front - giggling. If not given the chance to be in school at the RKF Home many

years ago, Jim may not be in a school today, but rather leading

the life of a scavenger like his father.

Fatima

Fatima is turning 9 this year and is in the 4th grade, also studying in a public school. Abandoned by her mother, Fati-

ma was given to a childless couple. Although she lives in the dump site of the city, she enjoys all the love from her new

parents. She is a very shy but intelligent little girl. Fatima is

squatting in the front row and is wearing white shoes.

Each year brings a new class of preschoolers. Meet our newest group of 3 to 5-year-olds who

are anxious and ready for the new school year.

Although they too live in the dump site in shanties, they too have a promising future by re-ceiving good nutrition through their daily shakes and by being enrolled in the RKF School pro-

gram, preparing them for their future education.

tal donations. We will keep you posted on our progress through our quarterly e-blasts. Informed donors are usu-

ally the most generous donors. We can do it, but not

without you!

It was great visiting with so many of you who stopped by the Kalogris booth in Austin. We love getting updates about individuals the Foundation has helped or answering

questions you may have.

If you missed Austin, please join us in Orlando for what promises to be a great conference, an exciting Rally for the Mission (again kicked off by our own Reliv Rally-ers), followed by the

always moving Kalogris segment.
