BEST BUDDIES:National Spread the Word to End the Word Day is Wednesday March 2nd. Please wear your Best Buddies gear (old and new) on that day. There will a banner for students and staff to sign during lunch, in front of the library. Signing the banner is your way of making a pledge to end hateful words and promote the inclusion of all people.


Eat at Chili’s during February and a portion of the profits will help send the Spanish Immersion and Service Learning group to Ecuador this June! Stop in the OHS office to pick up a Chili’s coupon!

GIRLS GYMNASTICS:The girls gymnastics team took 4th at the WLT Gymnastics Conference Meet at Hartford with a 132.075 score (our high score of the season)Claire Schlobohm had an awesome day winning the All Around with a personal best score of 36.2 (the 2nd place was not even close with a 34.525). She also won Vault (9.175), Bars (9.025), Beam (9.0)

and took 3rd on Floor (9.0). Claire won the WLT Gymnast of the Year Award (1st time since 1999 that an Oconomowoc Gymnast won it).Maddy Rice took 5th All Around with a 33.875 (her personal best), and 4th on Beam (8.55), 4th on Bars (8.525), and 6th on Floor (8.775).

Erinn Fagan took 10th All Around (personal best score of 32.85), 3rd on Vault (8.8), and tied for 6th on Bars (8.45).

Carli Christman also set a personal best All Around score of 29.2.

Our JV took 3rd with a 98.875. Hailey Weber (11) took 5th All Around with a 25.55.


Attention all OHS students! Oconomowoc DECA will be travelling to inner city Milwaukee to read to children! But first we need books! Bring in your new or gently used book donations to one of the bins by Monday, February 29th. There will be a bin in the office, by the cafeteria and in Mrs. Starke-Whites room.

Oconomowoc Area School District and Waukesha County Technical College has partnered together to bring you this incredible summer opportunity!

Parent and Student must attend this mandatory meeting on:March 1st at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital at 6:00

You will be meeting with WCTC and OMH staff to learn more about the course.Enter through the main entrance and the front desk will direct you to the conference room.

This course will prepare you for the state CNA licensing exam.Selection for the program will be as follows:

Attend the mandatory meeting on March 1st Juniors will be considered first before sophomores. Specific qualifications apply as this is a highly competitive opportunity for a limited amount

of students. Applications are due by 3:00 on March 7th. No exceptions. If Juniors do not fill all 10 spots then sophomores who attended the meeting and remain

interested will enter a random draw to fill those remaining spots Sophomores who are not in the program this year will remain on the CNA consideration list

for summer 2017.

SAILING CLUB INFORMATIONAL MEETING:High School Sailing has been a competitive sport in the U.S. for 86 years. The Milwaukee Youth Sailing Team – or MYST - is an organization of teams from the area that practice and compete on Pewaukee Lake in the Spring and Fall Seasons.

Oconomowoc has a great team, which practices on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30-6:30 and competes on weekends. Our teams travel weekly throughout the Midwest in both seasons to Minneapolis, Chicago, and Detroit as well as locally for events. In the past few years we have traveled to National Championships in Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, California, and Louisiana.

Sailing is a co-ed sport. It’s social, educational and a lot of fun. Many colleges across the U.S. have competitive teams. Please consider attending the informational meeting on

Grade 11: ACT Plus Writing Test: arrive at 7:20 am – most students will be done by 12 noon.

Friday, May 05, 2023 ANNOUNCEMENTSThe OHS Band Aids are hosting the 11th Annual Jazz Dance fundraiser at Olympia Resort in Oconomowoc TONITE, February 26, 2016. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. with music by the Nature Hill and Silver Lake Intermediate Jazz Bands. The Oconomowoc High School Jazz Bands will perform for the rest of the evening until 10:30 p.m.

In addition to great entertainment and dancing, enjoy raffles, a silent auction and a photo booth.

Advance tickets are on sale now at Books & Co and Piggly Wiggly-Oconomowoc. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets at the door are $12 and $5.

Table reservations are being accepted. Tables of 10 can be reserved for $220 (Includes admission). Food will be available for purchase – plan to eat dinner with great background music!

GIRLS SOFTBALL:A reminder to all girls interested in playing softball this spring. Open gyms will run each Monday throughout the winter from 7:00-8:15. Open gyms are open to any girl interested in taking a few swings or getting that arm warmed up for Spring. See you there!
