Beat the egg yolks, then add the milk, sugar, wine, vanilla and cinnamon. Soak the slices of Bauducco Panettone in the egg mixture.

Beat the eggs, then dip the slices of soaked Panettone on both sides. Drip dry and fry the slices in the butter until they’re golden brown.

To make the syrup, add all of the ingredients but vanilla to a saucepan on high heat and stir until it boils.

Add the vanilla and continue boiling until it thickens.

1 Bauducco Panettone cut into one-inch-thick slices

4 egg yolks

1 can evaporated milk

1 cup of sugar

1/4 cup dry wine

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

6 whole eggs

Butter for frying

Syrup:

2 cups of sugar

2 cups of water

1 lime peel

2 cinnamon sticks

1 teaspoon of vanilla

Mix the confectioners’ sugar with the egg whites until you get a smooth paste; add the lemon juice, mix and set aside. Cut the Bauducco Panettone into small triangles or circles. Spread the frosting on one side of the pieces of Panettone, then sprinkle with bits of cashew nuts and bake at 350° F for about 20 minutes or until they’re golden.

1 cup of confectioners’ sugar

1 egg white

1 teaspoon of lemon juice

12 slices of Bauducco Panettone

3 tablespoons of cashew nuts or other nuts of your choice (hazelnut, pistachio or Brazilian nut)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a mixing bowl, soak the Bauducco Panettone pieces in the milk. In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the rest of the ingredients.

Mix ingredients from both bowls together, stir and pour this mixture into a greased baking dish.

Bake for about 40 minutes until a wood toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Baking time depends on the type of oven and pan.

2 ½ cups Bauducco Panettone cut into small pieces

1 cup whole milk

4 eggs

3/4 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon nutmeg

1 cup raisins

1/3 cup sliced almonds

Cut the Chocottone into four horizontal round slices about ½ inch thick. Cut each slice into two smaller circles (about 4 inches in diameter) and set aside.

Chop the strawberries so they’re the same size as the blackberries and raspberries.

In a mixer, beat the egg yolk, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add the cornstarch and mix well. Add the heated milk, beating constantly. Pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until thickened.

In a bowl, place a slice of Chocottone. Cover with Pastry Cream, add the fruit and the meringue, top with another slice of Chocottone and serve.

1/2 Bauducco Chocottone

1/8 cup of meringue

1/8 cup of strawberries*

1/8 cup of raspberries*

1/8 cup of blackberries*

Pastry Cream:

1 egg yolk

2 tablespoon of sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 glass of semi-skimmed milk, heated

1 tablespoon of cornstarch

1 teaspoon of unsalted butter

* The fruit may be substituted for other seasonal fruit such as grapes, cherries, plums, or blueberries.
