Equal Access Programs

I can’t believe it is May already! May is the season of flowers blooming, birds singing, and great weather to get outdoors and enjoy. May is also the time when we thank our moms on Mother’s Day, and remember those who have fought for our freedom on Memorial Day.

We can’t forget June though. June marks the end of school, celebrating our dads for Father’s Day, the beginning of summer, and the countdown to the annual county and state fair.

Don’t let all the opportunities 4-H is offering from now until the end of summer pass you by! Read all about the fun and wonderful experiences you can participate in, including Teen Health Ambassador training, Fair Preparation Workshops, Maryland 4-H Congress, UME summer workshops, 4-H Golf & STEM Expo, the county and state fair, and more.

I always welcome club news, so if your club has any news, reports, or photos to share, you can email it to me at [email protected].

Wishing you all a wonderful and 4-H filled May & June!

This two-day clinic brought together youth from across the state to learn about all the many facets of raising and showing sheep and goats. Youth participated in hands-on activities and learning related to anatomy, feeding & nutrition, animal health, equipment needs, care, showing techniques, and so much more. This event was made possible by a Maryland 4-H Foundation grant.
