President’s Post Dear Members, Who’s ready for some sunshine? While it’s hard to look a gi horse in the mouth (YES, we need the water), I for one am ready to put away my umbrella, and feel the rays of the sun on my face. The rain may have slowed down our Club facility repair schedule, but it hasn’t dampened our enthusiasm!
Our associa on general manager, Keith, has been with us for only six short months and already has made several improvements and even be er sugges ons for the future. Keith has several major projects for 2017 on deck, mostly related to the North Wing, and the replacement of roofing, gu ers, insula on, doors/windows, and a Fire/Life/Safety system upgrade. We will also re‐stain the exterior stamped concrete, repaint the en re Club exterior, replace the lap pool reel and cover, and upgrade our Club access system, allowing for be er customer flow and repor ng features. Thank you to Keith and the en re team of staff partners for a posi ve outlook and moving our associa on forward!
At the January open session Board mee ng, the board voted to create several execu ve commi ees which will move projects forward more efficiently. These two member commi ees will review and approve items related to their area of governance (Commi ees, Finance, Opera ons, Projects, and Staff) and update the membership accordingly at the monthly board mee ng. This streamlined process will allow our associa on to be more nimble and to respond quicker to areas of need. In addi on, it takes into considera on the skills that each board member brings and aligns them to a focus area of associa on leadership. Of course, major decisions will con nue to be made by the Board in its en rety.
As the sunshine peaked out for a few days in February, I was reminded how much I love going to The Club for outdoor events and ac vi es, and we're already making plans to ensure a higher level of service for our Friday Happy Hours and summer Café opera ons. We look forward to sharing more about this soon, but for now, I leave you with two exci ng words... French fries!

Since the incep on of the Natomas Park Master Associa on in 1999, the Covenants, Condi ons & Restric ons (CC&Rs) have prohibited owners and tenants from parking on the streets within Natomas Park at any me of the day or night.
To be er enforce the parking restric ons within the CC&Rs, the Board of Directors adopted parking enforcement rules requiring all residents to register their vehicles with the Associa on. The parking enforcement rule change does not affect the current CC&R provision that prohibits residents from parking on the streets; instead, it provides a means to enforce the provision more effec vely and efficiently.
If you have not already done so, please submit a completed Vehicle Informa on Form to the management office via mail, email to [email protected], or fax to (916) 925‐1990. Please note that this is a requirement and members who do
not return this form will be considered in viola on. Addi onally, please be sure to keep your form on file updated! If new tenants or family members move in, or if you acquire or sell a vehicle a er submi ng this form, you must complete a new form within 10 business days. A fillable PDF copy of this form can be found on the Associa on's website at www.natomaspark.com; just search "vehicle informa on" in the Homeowner Resource Center.

Spring is finally here, the 18th spring that the community has experienced. Can you believe it!? With 18 years under our belt, Management and the Architectural Control Commi ee (ACC) would like to remind you to review the exterior of your home for needed paint touch ups, in order to freshen up the look of your home and the community as a whole. Although minor exterior paint touch ups do not require applica on submi al, the repain ng of your home does (including same‐color repain ng).
The management office has a book of pre‐approved paint color schemes for use by members. If an applica on is sub‐mi ed for a scheme in the book, the applica on will qualify for in‐house approval. This means Management can review your applica on and provide a determina on within 10 days of submi al. If you aren’t able to find a scheme that’s per‐fect for your home within the book, no need to worry! Members are always welcome to submit an applica on proposing a custom paint color scheme for review at one of the monthly ACC mee ngs. Please feel free to contact the management office for a copy of the Home Improvement Applica on, or you may obtain a copy through the Resource Center on the community website, www.NatomasPark.com.
Should you need assistance with the applica on process, or have any ques ons, please contact the management office at [email protected].

Repain ng For Spring Contributed by Janae Palos, Assistant Compliance Manager
Carbon monoxide, or CO2, is a poisonous gas that can be par cularly dangerous because it is colorless and odorless. Headache, nausea, dizziness, and even permanent brain damage or death can occur. Each year people die from acci‐dental CO2 poisoning.
To prevent CO2 poisoning in your home, be sure to educate your family about the following causes of CO2 poisoning and how to prevent exposure to this deadly gas:
Install CO2 detectors throughout your home: This is incredibly important, especially in hallways near sleeping areas, and follow the manufacturers’ instruc ons for tes ng and replacing. Keep detectors unobstructed by furniture or draperies.
Never use your gas oven or clothes dryer to heat your home: Do not cover the bo om of natural gas or pro‐pane ovens with aluminum foil; doing so blocks the air flow through the appliance and can produce CO2.
Do not use portable generators indoors: This includes in garages, carports, storage sheds and the like, even with doors and windows open. On that note, never leave a car running in a garage, even with the garage door open. In both instances, CO2 can quickly build to lethal levels, whether the space is fully or par ally enclosed.
Do not place pressure washer engines indoors: When using pressure washers outdoors, keep engines away from open windows, doors, or vents during use, as CO2 can seep inside through the openings.
Hire qualified professionals to install new furnaces and appliances, and to inspect and service your HVAC sys‐tem, chimneys, and flues: Never service fuel‐burning appliances without proper knowledge, skills and tools; you should always refer to the owners’ manual when performing minor adjustments or performing mainte‐nance on fuel‐burning equipment.
Never use portable fuel‐burning camping equipment or burn charcoal indoors: In par cular, do not operate unvented fuel‐burning appliances in any room where people are sleeping.
Above all, remind members of your community of the basic facts and preven on techniques associated with CO2 poi‐soning; it could save lives.

Natomas Park News
Dear Residents – New Officers on Patrol in the Community
Since Natomas Park first began using Pal‐adin’s services, the community has been fortunate to re‐tain many of the same officers. While some have le to con nue on in their careers, Natomas Park can now wel‐come several other tenured Paladin officers to the commu‐nity.
Officers Burke and Morris, and Corporal Stewart will be leaving Natomas Park and assuming other roles within Pal‐adin. We wish them the best of luck in their new posi ons.
We can extend warm welcomes to officers Fields, Cardwell, and Poole. While these officers are new to the Natomas Park lineup, they are veteran Paladin officers and are al‐ready working hard to keep this community safe and an enjoyable place to live.
Burglaries in the New Year
In the first two weeks of January, there were several resi‐den al burglaries in and around the community. Most of these burglaries occurred at homes where the residents were on vaca on or otherwise away from home for several days. One of these burglaries occurred while the resident was out of the country.
Paladin is con nuously working to discourage and catch burglars and keep them from causing harm to the commu‐nity. Please consider the following ps to help reduce your risk of becoming a vic m and help Paladin to catch criminals who prey on your community.
If you are planning to be away from home for an extended period of me, please contact Paladin Dispatch at (916) 331‐3175 and let us know when you will be gone and how we can contact you. We will have our officers periodically check on your home while you are away. Talk to your neighbors, and ask them to keep watch for suspicious ac v‐ity at your home; make sure they have the number for Pal‐adin Dispatch. If your neighbor is out of town, and you see suspicious ac vity at their home, please do not hesitate to contact Paladin or Sacramento Police to have someone check on the house.
If your home has an alarm system, we strongly encourage that you make diligent use of it. Paladin will provide alarm response for Natomas Park residents at no charge, and you need only give your alarm monitoring service the Paladin Dispatch number. Using mers for interior and exterior ligh ng helps create an illusion that someone is home.
Above all else, please make sure that all doors and win‐dows, including your interior garage door, are locked. The most common method of entry for burglars is to find an unlocked window or door. Please also consider locking your side gate, if applicable, for addi onal security.
Burglary Suspect Arrested
On January 24th, Paladin was contacted by Yuba City Po‐lice, who had arrested a suspect in connec on with one of the recent burglaries within Natomas Park. Paladin provid‐ed informa on regarding other recent burglaries and the Yuba City inves gators are working to link the suspect to these crimes.
