PROJECT NAME
PU-Binder: A Smart Solution for Building Green
Pavement
ABSTRACT The lack of oil and petroleum resources has recently raised the price of bitumen, and the amount
available is likely to decrease in the future. Consequently, modification of bitumen with alternative
materials was conducted to overcome this issue. A small amount of re- search has studied the
applicability of bio-oils as a bitumen modifier or substitute. This re- search is conducted to evaluate the
properties of modified bitumen using polyurethane (PU) by conducting the physical testing, chemical
testing and asphalt mixture performance test. In this research, palm kernel oil polyol was used and added
with 2,4-diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) to obtain PU where this process undergoes polymerization
method. Next, the PU was mixed 60/70 penetration grade bitumen, namely the base bitumen (BB) to
obtain PU-Binder or polyurethane modified bitumen (PUMB). Conventional physical testing, which
includes penetration, softening point, viscosity and ductility tests were conduct- ed on PUMB followed by
chemical testing using Fourier Transform Infrared Transmittance. Next, PUMB asphalt mixture were
tested using resilient modulus and dynamic creep tests to evaluate its performance towards rutting and
fatigue. Results showed that PU increased the stiffness and viscosity of bitumen which had improved the
rutting resistance. Prior to inclusion of PU in BB, no chemical interaction occurred in PUMB. The asphalt
mixture performance results showed an enhancement of resistance to fatigue and rutting on the PUMB
asphalt mixture. The production cost for PUMB and PUMB asphalt mixture are slightly higher than Hot
Mix Asphalt but is longer in term of service life. In conclusion, PUMB has high potential to be use as an
alternative material in road construction and paving industry.

Safety Index Mapping System For Express Bus
ABSTRACT The aim of this project is to establish a road accident safety index for express bus through awareness and
education system. Bus accident is a major public concern in Malaysia as it often involves the lives of
innocent victims. The main contributing factor is due to errant bus drivers due to drivers’ salary, fatigue,
vehicle monitoring system and driving behavior that combined to lead to the crashes and their severe
consequences. The main objective of this proposal is the establishment of an expert behavior mapping
system of road accident safe- ty index based on the contributing elements. To achieve this, the vehicle
health monitoring system that leads toward road accidents will be characterized in terms of the durability
analysis. Hence, providing the basis for structural integrity of express bus accidents under varous road
and human interaction in terms of improving ride comfort. The ride comfort is the main factor deals with
fatigue of driver and is in sync with safety of both the vehicle and passenger. From there onwards, a
comparative study that comprises of survey forms and interview sessions with bus driver and users will
be conducted to determine the contributing factors in road safety. The highlighted contributing factors
are based on the elements such as personality characterization such as driving behavior, fatigue, vehicle
monitoring system and salary. This provides the basis of designing and developing an expert mapping
system of road accident safety index to determine the personality of the driver. This optimized expert
system has the capability to provide the personality index for each individual driver through the spider
mapping. Hence, based on the future finding of the investigations, various remedial measures to prevent
bus crashes and reduce their subsequent impacts can be recommended for improving the drivers’
competency and behaviors through safety management of roadside hazards.

Dental Light, Loupe, Detector (DLLD)
ABSTRACT Studies show that dental personnel suffer of muscle fatigue, strain of eyes’ muscles, back- pain and joint
pain due to prolong dental treatment. In severe cases, it will lead to permanent muscles stiffness, eyes’
muscles damage, worn and inflamed joints such as scoliosis, loss of vision, carpal-tunnel syndrome etc.
Thus, it is crucial for dental personnel to have a good body posture by following proper ergonomic
position during dental treatment. Moreover, there are limitation in conducting dental treatment such as
ineffective dental light at school, poor dental facilities and small space for saving equipment’s. Plus, there
are no specific systems in dental setting to fight against pandemic COVID19. The objectives of our project
are to obtain a good ergonomic position during dental treatment, to get optimum dental light for
effective dental treatment and to produce a system in dental setting to fight against pandemic COVID19
using three colors of LED light-signaling. Therefore, we innovate an intelligent product known as DLLD to
solve the problems. DLLD is a new product consist of several components to help dental personnel in
conducting dental treatment. This product was produced from a combination of few dental components
such as dental light, loupe and detector; plus, face shield and three LED light-signaling consist of green,
yellow and red colors. Conclusively, benefits from this innovation are; there will be more aware- ness on
the importance of good ergonomic position among dental personnel, reducing strained of eyes' muscles,
establishment of specific systems in dental setting to fight against pandemic COVID19 using LED light-
signaling, enhancement of infection control, optimum dental treatment with effective dental light and
reducing treatment time, also saving space as it is all-in-one product.

Intelligent Hydrogel Plastomer
ABSTRACT Exposure to physical therapy in rehabilitation shows a major interest in recent years for foot drop
prevention such as ankle foot orthoses devices (AFO). Most AFO using artificial pneumatic muscle to
control the ankle movement of the foot drop patient. However, the current artificial pneumatic muscles
used in AFO has limited angle for ankle movement. Therefore, Intelligent Hydrogel Plastomer (IHP) had
been introduced to control the ankle movement with various range of angles by controlling the stiffness
of the IHP. IHP is a new kind of Magnetorheological (MR) material that can change its rheological
properties by magnetic field. In the presence of an external magnetic field, the magnetic-responsive
particles will become polarize and attracted to each other by forming chain-like structures. Theoretically,
the particle chain structures will lead to high resistance to flow and increased the viscosity of the matrix.
Once the magnetic field is removed, the particle chains are returning to randomly state and lowered the
viscosity of the MR materials. Several tests have been conducted to study the properties of this IHP such
as, tensile, rheology and conductivity. This finding has demonstrated tremendous potential as high strain
electromechanical sensors across all engineering applications. For example, the rheological testing shown
that, by controlling the magnetic field strength subjected to the IHP, the stiffness of the materials can be
controlled. Additionally, due to soft, resistance to corrosion and viscoelastic proper- ties of IHP which is
similar in medical world, the IHP can act as vibration energy absorber, sensors and actuators and drug
delivery.

MR Foam as Smart Sound Absorber
ABSTRACT Magnetorheological (MR) foam is one of the semi-active smart materials which has the ad- vantage of
fascinating control of sound absorption frequencies, by manipulating the strength of magnetic field. This
invention related to the fabrication of a magnetic responsive foam or MR foam, for dynamic and
controllability of sound absorption material. For the in- vented of MR foam, the employed magnetizable
particles are carbonyl iron particle (CIPs) that have low remnant and high saturation of magnetization
properties. The component of polyurethane (PU) foam; polyol and isocyanates also used as the main
absorbent matrix of MR foam. For this invention, the dynamic controllability of MR foam as acoustic
absorber materials will be achieved by investigating the different effects of magnetic field strength on the
acoustic absorption properties during the acoustic characterization of MR foam. To achieve the dynamic
controllability of MR foam for sound absorption, in-situ fabrication method will be applied to fabricate
this smart foam, which by direct incorporation of CIPs into the struts of PU foam’s matrix. Via alteration of
MR foam pores structure respective to apply magnetic field, this invention of smart sound absorbing
material is believed to show a great improvement for future dynamic sound and noises absorption
applications be- sides providing a wider potential devices, as compared to passive foam materials.

ABSTRACT Portable saliva suction is one of the tools used in the treatment of mobile dentistry for schools to suck
saliva, blood and other fluids during treatment. Problems faced with the current mobile dental devices
including, a relatively high cost with an estimated weight of 5kg which makes it difficult to move from one
location to another. Excellent Mache Superb Suction (eMASS)has been designed to reduce the total cost
of the portable suction and rendering the device lighter and easier to carry. PROBLEMS: The mobile dental
team uses the service of a portable saliva suction with a price of around RM 1000 and above and an
estimated weight of 5kg. The drawback to the existing tool is its purchasing cost and the weight of the
equipment-INNOVATION: The dental staffs will have to carry the portable suction as and when the mobile
dental team is required to carry out treatment in designated locations along with other dental
equipment. Portable saliva suction requires a fixed power source to function throughout the treatment.
DESCRIPTION: eMASS is produced through the modification of vacuum cleaners at a cheaper and lighter
price. This cleaning device is modified so that it can inhale the patient's saliva with the hose connection
and suction tip in the mouth. Fluid material will flow to the storage part of the suction motor. After filling,
the water-filled container is discarded, washed and then reused. AFTER INNOVATION : Portable suction
device can be purchased at a cheaper price than the market price, easy to carry, lighter, save space and
can be used wirelessly after being charged or connected to a power source .BENEFITS : Reduces purchase
costs, is lighter and can function without an electrical power source .COST : The estimated total cost is RM
79.00.

durations.TEMPTOR-20 is an ideal solution for long-term and regular monitoring of human body
temperature especially during COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. TEMPTOR-20 is designed to have a
significant improvement of an existing manual thermometer where it promotes reconfigurable computing
using microprocessors and IoT sensors. Moreover, LEDs for additional visual alert is designed as a user-
friendly feature for home monitoring and personal usage specifically for the elderly and children.

Smart Arrow Kit
ABSTRACT There are four objectives in our project of “Smart Arrow Kit”. First, we want to help teachers to reduce
the usage of marker pen in the class and making the Geometrical Optics lesson more attractive and
efficient. Second, we want to help students to determine the characteristics of image produced by the
concave mirror and convex lens. Third, we want to avoid student’s confusion during sketching the ray
diagrams for concave mirror and convex lens. And lastly, we want to help students to recognize the type
of the mirror or lenses used in the questions by just knowing the image characteristics produced.
We design our “Smart Arrow Kit” using ADDIE Model. Firstly, we do the analysis where we recognize the
problems faced by the teachers and the students in Geometrical Optics topic and try to find the solution.
Then, we design the Smart Arrow Kit Method and deter- mine the right instrument to evaluate the result
of our innovation. After that, we develop the Smart Arrow Kit step by step together. Next, we implement
the Smart Arrow Kit Method to the 16 students from class D1T1. Finally, we evaluate the effectiveness of
Smart Arrow Kit Method by using pre and post-test that we gave to the students to answer.
Our Smart Arrow Kit is so environment friendly where its usage is clean and secure. Be- sides, it is very
cost effective where it can reduce marker pen use by 64%. It is also saving our lesson time by 25% and of
course it is reusable and very handy you can bring it and repeatedly use it anywhere anytime.

Physics Smart Bot
ABSTRACT There are two objectives in our project of “Physics Smart Bot”. First, “Physics Smart Bot” is the online tool
designed to help both teachers and students to get the teaching and learning stuffs easily using telegram
bot in their own device. Second, we want to make an online learning a lot more efficient since we can
gather all files in one bot.
We design our “Physics Smart Bot” using ADDIE Model. Firstly, we do the analysis where we recognize the
problems faced by the teachers and the students in getting the teaching and learning stuffs like collection
of exam questions, quizzes and trial questions and try to find the solution. Then, we design the “Physics
Smart Bot” and determine the right instrument to evaluate the result of our innovation. After that, we
develop “Physics Smart Bot” step by step together. Next, we implement the “Physics Smart Bot” to the
teachers and students. Finally, we evaluate the effectiveness of “Physics Smart Bot” by using the survey
form that we gave to the teachers and students to answer.
Our “Physics Smart Bot” is very cost effective because it is FREE and it can reduce paper use by 100%. It is
also save our lesson time by 85% and of course the usage is reusable and very handy where teachers and
students can repeatedly access it anytime anywhere.

Tanya AI Chatbot In Malay Language Against
Covid-19 Pandemic In Malaysia
ABSTRACT During the pandemic of COVID-19 in Malaysia, fake news and false information caused infodemic
confusion. Until now, police and MCMC have investigated 268 individuals who were caught disseminating
fake news and false information. To stop these infodemic, Malaysia government has created Facebook
pages and Telegram Announcement channels for Ministry of Health (MoH) Crisis Preparedness and
Response Center (CPRC) and the National Security Council. These platforms ease the public access to
official updates. However, the public will only be able to read the announcement due to no immediacy
be- tween public and authorities. This motivates us to introduce a chatbot that allow public to interact
with both (i.e. post questions and receive prompt feedback), and to prevent the spread of fake news and
false information about COVID-19 and MCO. Tanya.AI is the first artificial intelligence (AI) using Malay
language and powered by machine learning. Tanya means asking questions in Malay, and AI is referring to
the system is AI-engineered. Tan- ya.AI independently recognizes Malay language patterns and adapts by
learning from previous computations to produce reliable, repeatable decisions and results. In terms of
availability, Tanya.AI can be used anywhere, anytime with different platform. Tanya.AI provides familiar
interface with seamless system integration in which users will use and adapt it easily and faster. Besides,
this virtual assistant interacts simultaneously with multiple users as a one-stop center to share the latest
and accurate information about COVID-19 and MCO. Tanya.AI promotes cybersecurity controls where
every messages are protected using end-to-end encryption and web application firewall, and two-factor
authentication and authentication timeouts for the administrators. Other potential applications of
Tanya.AI are including, but not limited to, information dissemination for large number of users (large
corporations, educational institutions), and personal assistant (personalized news, fashion advisor, travel
assistance). As a conclusion, Tanya.AI provides accurate information with high immediacy.

ABSTRACT Malaysian’s death rate of road accidents was the 3rd in ASEAN and ASIA with 25 deaths per 100 000
population. In every 20 road crashes, 12 deaths involve motorcyclists. Questionnaires were conducted
among pupils, teachers, parents, school board members and other community members such as other
school educators and district education department officers. Some analysis was carried out through the
Smart Analysis, Force Ranking, Matrix / Benefits Analysis method to find out the main reason that causes
the motorcycle rider accident which are the negligence and stubbornness of the people themselves. In
addition, the most appropriate solutions were explored through SWOT Analysis, School Direction and
Pro-Counter Analysis. The careless and stubborn nature of human beings can be reduced through the
application of STEM technology. Helmets are the main protector of motorcyclists which were able to be
modified with some addition safety features. The innovation project takes into account three key sensors
namely helmet safety strap sensors, distance sensors and sleepy sensors. The safety strap sensors remind
the motorcycle riders to always install safety straps. The red LED lights behind the helmet will help traffic
police detect the use of motorcycle riders while enforcing traffic laws. The distance sensor reminds the
motorcyclists not to be too close to the right-hand side vehicles. Sleepy sensors also develop drowsy
motorcyclists while riding. In conclusion, this smart helmet seeks to integrate STEM features to prevent
accidents, reduce injuries and save lives on motorcyclists on the road.

ABSTRACT RYG traffic lights is designed to help colour blind people to interpret the traffic light signals correctly and
thus move safely on the road. It could create a safer environment and prevent mishaps that might be
caused by colour blind road users. It will also benefit prospective drivers who want to have a driving li-
cense but are hindered by colour blindness. Some modifications have been made to the existing traffic
lights to make it more user friendly and meaningful. It is designed using three letters; the red light is la-
belled ‘R’, the yellow light is labelled ‘Y’ and the green light is labelled ‘G’. The letters could be seen on
the light screen when the respective lights brighten up. Road users will not only see the colours to deter-
mine the time to go or stop at a busy intersection, they will also get to see some forms of symbols which
are embedded into them. Therefore, RYG traffic lights help colour blind road users to make precise
decision without memorizing the arrangements of the light screens. This new concept can also be applied
to traffic lights that use LED digital lights. The production cost is low as it would not affect the current
traffic light system. Also, RYG traffic lights could be used globally regardless of the inconsistency of the
position of the light screens. Colour blind people would not have a hard time if they travel overseas as
they can rely on the letters shown on the light screens. ‘Colour Blind Awareness’ (n.d.) reports that 1 in
12 men (8%) and 1 in 200 women in the world are affected by colour vision deficiency. According to
United States Access Board (n.d.), there are over millions of traffic lights worldwide. The inflated demand

ABSTRACT Pyroprostasia is a fire prevention device which is designed to be installed in multipurpose plugs or
extension cords. The objective of this innovation is to raise awareness among the public about electrical
fires caused by overloading a circuit. According to Aliza (2017), faulty electrical sources is the main cause
of fire hazards in Malaysia, with more than 5300 cases recorded from 2015 to 2017. Besides, the number
of electrical fires in residential areas could be minimized with the help of pyroprostasia. The target is
residential areas as it is reported that residential fires took about 61% of overall fire deaths per year and
48% of the overall fire injuries per year in Malaysia (Tan et al., 2016). Pyroprostasia is designed using
Arduino. The temperature sensor is also used to detect the wires’ temperature. When the temperature
reaches the dangerous range or overheated, the red LED will light up and piezo will ring to attract users’
attention. Instantly, the relay module will cut off the power supply within five seconds when it is
overheated. So, Pyroprostasia can ensure the safety of the users while using extension cords or
multipurpose plugs. Another distinctive feature of Pyroprostasia is that it is totally different from the fire
prevention device in the market which only functions after fires ignited. Pyroprostasia functions before
fires ignite! Pyroprostasia is still at the prototype stage and it is an original idea which has never been
existed in the market. Every household should have one Pyroprostasia. According to Roser et al (2019),
the world population has reached 7.7 million and it is increasing yearly. Therefore, the sales volume

ABSTRACT This project's main purpose is to reduce the amount of fabric waste or rags in the landfill. Fabric waste is
actually the largest source of waste disposed of in Malaysia. Depositing waste in landfills can affect both
the environment and human health. Therefore, by making paper from cloth rags, waste tea grounds, and
some paper waste that is readily found, we decided to reduce this form of waste. At the same time,
cutting tree activity for paper making will decrease, which will contribute to the issue of deforestation. In
this research, in the paper making process, we concentrate on fabric waste from denim and cotton. Next,
fabrics and residual tea grounds were cut into small pieces and blended until they became pulp. Then, the
pulp was poured into the mould and pressed for the excess water to drain. To compare the DenCO Paper
sample and a standard handmade paper, laboratory tests for tensile strength, water absorption test, art-
work content test and pH test were performed. In the processing of handmade paper, there are no
chemicals used. Solar energy has been used in the drying process, so no energy is lost. Research has
shown that the DenCO Paper with the ratio of fabric rags to 60:40 waste tea grounds has the highest rate
of tensile strength compared with the other study. Based on the findings of the pH test, it has been
shown that our paper has been proved to be pH 7 neutral. The concept recognizes the variety of art
papers that can be obtained from waste fabrics, and also shows how the papers obtained from them
were influenced by the design of-form of fabric. One may infer that DenCO Paper is better than regular
hand-made paper.

ABSTRACT Green cooker are environmental friendly oven that harness the sun ray and use them to create a source
of heat to cook food and drink. The main objective of this project is to build an E-Flexi Green Cooker 2.0
that combines two different types of green cooker which is the box green cooker and the parabolic green
cooker. Our green cooker was designed by using the concept of greenhouse effect, reflection, refraction,
heat absorption, heat storage and principle of conservation of energy to cook food and drink. Our school
team focus on three main factors that will influence the increasing temperature of water of green cooker
during try and error process those are i) the reflector angle, ii) the presence of parabolic reflector and iii)
the type of reflector. The hypotheses of this project are the reflector angle 65o, the presence of parabolic
reflector and the PET reflective paper as reflector able to contribute the higher temperature of water.
The result shows that the reflector angle with 65⁰, the presence of parabolic reflector and the PET
reflective paper as reflector will contribute to a higher increasing temperature of water that green cooker
in control group. Our E-Flexi Green Cooker 2.0 has been tested and the highest temperature obtained is
100oC within 53 minutes when the weather is very hot and dry. With an understanding of the scientific
theory about heat accumulation and access to recycling materials and organic waste, an effective, easy to
use, eco-friendly and flexible (E-Flexi) green cooker can be built.

ABSTRACT The main aim of this project is to reduce the abundance of plastic waste that is rising in the present world
and recycling it into useful products. This invention uses plastic and agro-waste to convert them into
building materials, which is a key factor to reduce environmental pollution. Nowadays, plastic waste is
effectively converted into useful building materials like bricks, roof tiles, paving slabs, and retaining blocks
etc. For this research, we are using plastic bags, rice husk ashes (RHA), gravel and sand to produce a
composite pavement without cement. We are focusing to invent pavers for walkway, patio and landscape
purpose. Since it is costly to approach a local brick manufacturer for lending the machine, we have de-
signed and fabricated a paver’s mould and manufactured it in a small quantity. In this study, the plastic
was heated until molten before the sand and RHA were added in suitable proportions. It had a dark grey
texture and an increased weight in the initial analysis. Therefore, the laboratory testing methods for com-
pressive strength and structure of brick were conducted to compare EcoPAVI brick and a regular brick. In
both tests, EcoPAVI had showed an increase in its strength. Composite pavements, when compared to
traditional flexible or rigid pavements, have the potential to become a cost effective alternative because
they may provide better levels of performance, both structurally and functionally. Furthermore, compo-
site pavement structures can provide long-life pavements that offer good serviceability levels and rapid,
cost-effective maintenance operations, which are highly desired, especially for high-volume and high-
priority corridors.

light to warn the driver about low coolant and a buzzer to alert the diver about dangerously low levels of
coolant. The colour of the LED will change depending on the level of coolant. the LED will be blue when
the coolant is sufficient. When the LED is yellow, it shows that the coolant is low and will also send a
notification to the driver. When the coolant is empty, the LED will turn red and the buzzer will turn on, a
notification is also sent to the driver. This project innovates by using a multitude of different
technological devices. COOL Tech helps to ensure sufficient water in the radiator by keeping track of the
coolant level in the coolant reservoir to prevent overheating of vehicle.

pollution which is mainly caused by domestic rubbish such as solid and liquid wastes. Our team has
identified and narrowed down the solid and liquid wastes that can be recycled to make a new product
which bene- fits to consumers but at the same time can reduce environmental pollution and as
alternative way to dis- pose domestic wastes. As the result, our team has chosen to recycle egg cartons,
used cooking oil and coconut husk as the main ingredients for our school innovation project. ECO-coh
production is very simple. Firstly, reheats used cooking oil together with oil hardener and let it cool down
to the room temperature and later mash it well. Then mix it with coconut husk which has been finely
shredded. Finally, press the mixture onto the egg cartons and cut them into smaller pieces. The ECO-coh
now is ready to be used. The ECO-coh innovation cost is very low which is just under RM2.00; we can get
approximately 30 units of ECO-coh. ECO-coh also has commercial value among domestic users, students,
teachers and individuals for using it to start a fire for barbecuing or camping. It can be sold via online,
supermarket and grocery store. ECO-coh has a lot of benefits which are to reduce the environmental
pollution, as an alternative solution in disposing for solid and liquid wastes, as an alternative resource for
fuel, can save money for solid and liquid wastes disposal management and last but not least; can

ABSTRACT Leaving the refrigerator open accidentally for a long time is a common problem faced by most of the
users. When the refrigerator door is opened, the cold air escapes and it is replaced by warm air from the
room. The compressor has to then drive the warm air out and bring the temperature back to normal. If
the refrigerator door is left open for a long time, it wastes energy and it may spoil the compressor. The
solution of this problem is to introduce our product, the Automatic Refrigerator Alarm System (ARAS). It
is an automatic alarm system which comes with a robotic arm. When the refrigerator door is left open for
a long time, the alarm will be triggered and the robotic arm will shut the refrigerator door automatically.
If the robotic arm is malfunctioning, the system will send SMS to notify the user. The objectives of this
project are to build an automatic alarm system for the refrigerator, to provide upgrade to old model
refrigerators and to reduce energy waste. The focus of the innovation is to build an Arduino-based alarm
system which does not require complicated electrical work. The separation distance between 2 magnetic
reed switches will determine whether the alarm is triggered or not. Robotic arm will be activated if the
alarm is triggered.

ABSTRACT In order to decrease the amount of plastic straws disposal which in fact is a threat to our flora and fauna
as its small size makes it difficult to recycle, the straw banning campaign had been held. However, the
campaign can't be fully implemented as there is a group of people who are relying on the usage of plastic
straws. In addition, our team has done some research throughout the nearest cafe and fast-food
restaurants and found out that the plastic straws are still demanded in full capacity despite the campaign
that is being held by the restaurants. Thus, our team has taken the initiative to suggest another approach
in dealing with the problems that arise due to plastic straws after it is being used. We suggest that the
plastic straws are reused and repurpose its function for the welfare of all. We would like to introduce
Hawks Pillow. We made this pillow from the scratch which means we reused the plastic straws and
utilized used cloth to make it as our pillow case. We fill the pillow with the plastic straws so it is compact
and will not sinking when pressure is applied. Our product does not require any machines to produce it
and it is cost- less. This Hawks Pillow is multipurpose as it can be used as support cushion for neck or
waist, as a pillow for sleeping and as a steppingstone during resting. Next, it can be an alternative for the
victims at the evacuation center because it is easy to make in a short time to meet their needs. It is also
can be developed into mattress, soft toys, and materials to reduce the risk of damage to postal goods or
transportation.

ABSTRACT The usage of plastics including polystyrene is now increasing very rapidly in every country. It causes the
increasing of landfills as it can only use for once. Most of the people want to perish the polystyrene by
burying the polystyrene in the ground. Burning the polystyrene (release toxic gases). At the same time
throwing them everywhere include the rivers, the sea and on the ground will causing environmental
pollution. To recycling or reuse of polystyrene requires high cost and technology, at the same time
polystyrene contain Hexabromocyclododecane, HBCD (non-biodegradable) so than reuse or recycling of
polystyrene cannot be carried out by any less skilled individual. And recycling polystyrene using
technology does not bring economic benefits to individuals or industries. So, we carried out this project
Polymer Decom- position by Livestock (Mealworm) using mealworm to decompose polystyrene without
harming people health and environment. This project is eco-friendly. We are conducting our project with
100 mealworms, 0.50kg of polystyrene and 1 40L containers. The mealworms will take a few weeks to
completely decom- pose the polystyrene. We use mealworm to decompose polystyrene which mealworm
can eat and digest the polystyrene without effecting its own life and they can be used again as a protein-
rich feed supplement which is safe to eat by the animals. After the mealworm eating the polystyrene,
they will produce white feces which is called mealworm frass. These things are a great and ecofriendly
fertilizer. All you have to do is to mix these frasses with soil and it is ready to be fertilizer. The fertilizer is
good for your plant as it can prevent pest from harming your plant. Your plant will get soil nutrition and
grow more. In conclusion these mealworms can decompose the polystyrene without giving any negative
impact to itself and to the environment. All of it feces are beneficial for any types of plant that you want it
to grow better. Throughout this project that we have conduct, I realized that if this project is
introduced to the whole world, the amount of polystyrene in the world will be decrease drastically.

Flash Flood Alarm
ABSTRACT Heavy rain during night-time lead to flood but normally people will only aware once their house is flood-
ed. The flash flood alarm system was designed so it could alert the people that the water level is rising
around their property and about to get flooded. Sometimes peoples are not aware about the occurrence
of flooding because it occurs on late nights during the sleeping hours. Flash flood occurs very fast which
leads to loss of property and money. The flash flood alarm system can be installed in drainages around a
person’s property and it will alert them once the water level in drains rise to a dangerous level. The flash
flood alarm is made of from UPVC Pipe, sponge, and wireless alarm system. There are 2 parts in this
alarm system. One need to be installed outside the house in the drain and the other one need to be
plugged in an indoor electric source. The outdoor unit which is installed in the drains will measure the
water level in the drain and will signal the indoor unit once the water level reached danger level. The in-
door unit which plugged in an electric source will receive the signal from outdoor unit and raise alarm to
alert the people inside. The device also can be used with double AA batteries during blackouts. The flash
flood alarm was fixed in a drainage system and tested few times to identify whether the device functions
as expected. The outcome from tests show that the flash flood alarm is highly capable in alert people be-
fore the occurrence of the flash floods and could save properties and money. Then device was tested
again to find out maximum gap distance between indoor and outdoor system and find out that the device
can work for 120 meters in 4.02 seconds. This device can help people to save or protect their valuables
before flood water enters their property. In near future it is planned to integrate the flash flood alarm
with a GPS system so it can alert the property owners about the occurrence of flash flood through call or
message whenever they’re not around.

ABSTRACT A measuring tape is a common instrument used to measure the distance in long jump and high jump
events. The limitations of using measuring tape are such as need at least 2 persons to measure the
distance for example in long jump event, small reading scale, the user must know the correct method to
take the reading and it is hard to roll up after using it. The objective of the project is to develop a cheap,
safe and multi-purpose digital measuring instrument to aid the sport teachers in field events. The focus of
the innovation is to build an Arduino-based measuring instrument which does not require complicated
electrical work (plug and play) to build. Our product, the Digital Measuring Meter (DM Meter) has two
ultrasonic sensors, which are able to measure vertical and horizontal distances (up to 4m) simultaneously.
The distance will be displayed on a LCD panel. The DM meter comes with a laser pointer to assist the
aiming of the target when measuring the long distance. The product can work with all types of power-
bank. The novelty of the product is an improvement to the existing distance measuring meter in the
market. It is safe to use and it consumes less power as it works on a voltage of 5V. This product has high
potential to be commercialized as it is low cost. The cost of the product is RM 75. The DM meter could
bring a large impact especially to the sports teachers in school. In future, the upgraded version of the
prototype will come with a Bluetooth module to send the reading to the mobile phone, a laser time of
flight sensor module for more accurate reading and using Arduino Maker Nano for a smaller size.

ABSTRACT Every year, schools will host many kinds of sports tournaments for students to join. The scoreboard is one
of the main components for hosting a tournament at the school. A suitable scoreboard is thus needed.
There are many types of scoreboards used to record the score and yet they face some shortcomings. DIY
lower cost scoreboard with A4 papers is not durable. Some other traditional manual scoreboards are
portable and the price of the product is low. However, the score display is too small to view; longer time
is taken to show the scores on the board and may need more manpower to operate it. The large
electronic scoreboard is created and commercialized in the market to help the audience follow the
actions more closely and draw them deeper into the game. However, it is too expensive for most of the
schools to have such a huge electronic scoreboard in the school. The school will face storage problems as
it needs a big storage space. Wiring of the electronic of scoreboard is also a major shortcoming. To solve
these problems, we created a portable wireless LED scoreboard that can be flipped back into a small size
for easy carrying and storage. It is specially designed without any wiring connection between controller
and the scoreboard. It can be powered by two 10000mh power-bank or USB Hub Charger for up to 6
hours. With the Ezygo Scoreboard, schools can host many kinds of sports tournaments using a low cost
wireless electronic scoreboard. It is portable and, thus, can be used in any venue at any time with a single
man power.

Smart Compost Bin
ABSTRACT Many households start to use the food waste to produce compost by turning it into organic fertilizer. As
the food waste collected every day is in the small amount, a small size bin is needed for the production
according to family needs and amount of food waste. Smart Compost bin is enclosed on the sides and
top, and open on the sides of each layer, so it sits directly on the ground. The bin is to maintain relatively
high temperatures in tumbler (layer) systems, both because the container acts as insulation and because
the turning keeps the microbes aerated and active. The insulator outside the bin ensure the temperature
maintained at the optimum temperature for compose purpose. The designs provide an interior hole
which help bring air into the compost and prevent clumping of the composting materials. Besides, the
designs have gaps between layers for aeration. The Smart compost bin is special because the tempera-
ture and humidity sensor was installed to monitor the internal temperature and humidity of the bin. The
power for the monitoring system is generated using solar panel. The layers in the bin are used to ensure
the process of composting are keep continue. The up most layer contains fresh food waste. The second
layer contains partially compost food waste. The third layer contains the half-composed food waste. The
bottom layer contains the ready compost fertilizer. This compost fertilizer can be taken out from the
bottom layer through the drawer at the bottom of the bin. Transfer of the half compost food waste to the
lower layer will provide space at the first layer for the fresh food waste. The composting process will en-
sure the bin can produce compost fertilizer continuously throughout the year.

fuels. The ethanol is more environmentally friendly than using gasoline or diesel as our fuels. Ethanol is
safer and cleaner than other fossil fuels because ethanol does not emit any harmful substance to the
environment. Other than that, ethanol also is an organic solvent that is widely used in industrial markets
such as production of beers and wine. Thus, ethanol has many benefits more than fossil fuels to human
and environment.

ABSTRACT Water pollution is a serious issue in Malaysia and threatens the sustainability of our water resources.
Water is a very important element in our lives as it provides water for drinking, support agriculture and
industry, aquatic habitat and food source. According to Berita Harian (28 April 2019), more than 20 class 3
rivers are polluted and require intensive treatment. Cost incurred to clean up rivers and oceans are very
costly and time consuming. Therefore, Hydrobotz is created to solve water pollution issues in a more
effective way and low in cost.
Hydrobotz primarily functions to:
- Reducing water pollution.
- Collecting rubbish or waste on water. - Clean up debris from ocean, rivers, and drains. - Removing oil or other chemicals from water.
- Reducing cost of cleaning up rivers.
Hydrobotz can be used to clean up rubbish or debris from water surface. It can be used by remotely con-
trolling the Hydrobotz or set it in an autonomous mode. Ultrasonic sensors are used to locate the waste
and removing it. Waste can be reduce much faster and safer compared to the conventional way as it uses
machine rather than manpower. It would not effect the ecosystem or harm aquatic creatures therefore it
is suitable for the environment. The limitation would be that Hydrobotz has a small capacity therefore a
larger tank / container is need to store the waste. In conclusion, Hydrobotz is low in cost, more effective
and safer. Hydrobotz is small and handy therefore it can be used anywhere including drains. Hydrobotz
can be remotely controlled or being in a fully autonomous mode so it is safer as compared to the conven-
tional way of cleaning rivers and ocean. The materials used in the Hydrobotz are safe to the environment

melibatkan 100% bahan buangan yang dikitar semula mengaplikasikan konsep 3R dan membantu

Fertilizer merangsang pertumbuhan tanaman lebih pantas berbanding tanaman yang tidak
menggunakannya. Ransan- gan bakteria probotik dan perangsang tumbuhan (plant booster) yang
terkandung dalam Meemaw’s Fertilizer mempercepat biji benih mengeluarkan tunas, pertumbuhan

ABSTRACT During COVID-19 pandemic, people keep ignoring about social distancing because they think that it is not
important. Customers would still enter a mall, supermarket, shop, or other departmental store even
though the number of customers allowed being inside has been reached, without caring about social
distancing. This will cause people to be exposed and possibly vulnerable to the infection of covid-19 virus.
Although some malls use numbering system, the physical contact onto the cards that have been used by
other person still happens. Auto person counting system (APCS) is an Arduino-based project. APCS will
reduce physical contact among customers by accurately counting the number of customers and limiting
the customer numbers when entering the mall to increase physical distancing activities among them.
APCS also prevents physical contact among the customers when there are no numbering cards needed in
the rotation system in the mall. Auto person counting system (APCS) is an original creation of SMK
Asajaya. It can detect the movements of people entering and exiting a room, and generate a counted
number of the people inside after the input data are processed by the Arduino board. If the maximum
number of people allowed inside is reached, the strobe light will be turned on as an alarm. The data of
number of people inside is also sent to IoT (internet of things), which can then be easily accessed on
other devices such as your smartphone. The APCS has an infrared (IR) sensor (e18-d80nk) which detects
the movements of a person, both entering and exiting a room. The input data of the number of people
entering as well as exiting are sent to the Arduino board to be processed. Then, the processed data are
sent to the i2c lcd screen to display the number of people currently inside. The generated number is also
sent to IoT (internet of things) via Wi-Fi network and can be easily accessed on other devices and on IoT
data servers such as thingspeak, thinger, thingsboard, and blynk. If the maximum number of people
inside is reached, the signal will be sent to trigger the strobe light which acts as an alarm to be turned on.
This alarm implies that the next person cannot enter the room as the maximum number of people
allowed inside has been reached. The default maximum number in APCS can be reset, either increased or
reduced by using pushing buttons.

ABSTRACT The objective of this project is to save electrical energy by using solar energy. It is not only environmental
friendly but also saves clean water by using rainwater to water plants. It also reduces the workload of
gardeners and acts as a roof for cars and people alike. Additional energy produced can be used for
powering light bulbs in the car park. During the whole day, the solar panels on a car park roof will convert
solar energy to electrical energy. The roof will be slightly tilted at around a 30° angle from the ground in
order for the rainwater to be collected into a collecting tank. By using a smartphone, the pump which
uses the electrical energy from the converted solar energy can be controlled and be chosen when to
activate as the plants only need to be watered at certain times of the day. The collecting pump will be
connected via a hose to a sprayer which will then water the plants when needed or wanted. The water
tank will have a cover to avoid mosquito eggs from birthing or even getting there in the first place. This is
not a new idea, rather it is an improved version of a system that is already created. The improved version
strives to re- duce to burden on certain people. We were inspired when we saw the gardener from our
school working hard when they were watering the plants and so we wanted reduce their burden. Using
pipe water was a waste to us and so we wanted to use rainwater as rainwater is water that hasn’t been
processed into clean water but is still good for the plants.

Eco Construction. Ecobricks, Eco roof tiles, Ecotiles and Ecopave. The objective of this project is to not
only educate the children but adults on how to save the environment and realize the importance of
coexisting with Nature with the help of Science and Technology. This is an innovation project that utilizes
recycled material from the waste of Organic and Non Organic materials in replacement of the
conventional raw material to produce common construction material such as Building bricks, Roof
Tiles, Floor Tiles, Wall tiles and also pavement blocks. This is in line with Our Government’s
2030 Roadmap towards ‘Zero Single Use Plastics’ and also one of the United Nations Sustainable
Development Program goals of achieving ‘Industry, Innovation, and Infra- structure’ which indirectly
contributes toward another of its goal of ‘Climate Action’. This can be also be incorporated
