2.307.1 INTRODUCTION

This Electrical Loc"o#t permit system is de$eloped to carry o#t maintenance %o&s on e'#ipment(hich re'#ire positi$e electrical isolation o) the e'#ipment. This permit is e*ec#ted &et(een theprod#ction+operation department and the electrical department.

permit is in d#plicate. Chie) operator + enineer a)ter disc#ssion (ith electrical department a&o#tcriticality o) the %o&, (ill sin $ectio#%&o) the Electrical Loc"o#t permit and also )ill #p the details

9e'#ipment ta no : electrical loc" o#t permit no; in the 5aner Tas.

The electrical department (hich is the Permit iss#in a#thority, (ill )ill #p : sin the

$ectio#%o) the permit and also sin the 5aner Tas C : . S#&se'#ent to the positi$e isolation,

theTa' -(ill &e installed on the panel or on the de$ice )or isolation &y the electrical department.The d#plicate copy o) the permit shall &e retained &y electrical department and the oriinal copy

alon (ith Da#'er Ta' C- (ill &e handed o$er to the operation.

As a mar" o) endorsement o) the positi$e isolation, the speci)ic n#m&er o) Electrical Loc"o#tPermit (ill &e (ritten on all the three tas. F#rther, (hile iss#in cold + hot permit to maintenance,

the Loc"o#t permit + Ta n#m&er shall &e mentioned in the cold + hot permit as (ell as the Da#'erTa' C-(ill &e stapled to the Field Permit.

and ret#rn the permit alon (ith Da#'er Ta' C-to the electrical department. A)ter this step is o$er,the %o& is considered complete and the electrical system (hich (as #nder maintenance is ready )or

re-commissionin. The 1ss#in a#thority ens#res to restore all connected interloc"s, remo$es the

Da#'er Ta' -and sins the Sectio#%Do) the Permit.

A)ter eneri@in the main s(itch, the )irst copy o) the permit is ret#rned to 4peration. A)ter

recei$in the permit (ith the section-5 sined &y electrical, 4peration "no(s that the e'#ipment is

eneri@ed )rom the s#&station. 4nly a)ter recei$in this copy, operation remo$es the Da#'er Ta'%&-)rom the local s(itch.

The permit iss#er has the preroati$e to cancel the permit (itho#t notice, d#rin e*ec#tion,

&ased on de$elopment o) certain emerency (hich renders %o& e*ec#tion #nsa)e.
