Lane County Dental Society is an ADA CERP recognized provider approved by the Oregon Dental Association.
ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental profes-sionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.
Lane County Dental So-ciety is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing educa-tion programs of this pro-
gram provider are accepted by AGD for Fellow-ship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial board of dentistry or AGD endorsement. The current term of AGD approval extends from 1/16/2020 to 1/15/2023.
LCDS Continuing Education Program Mission
To engage in educational activities that facilitate the maintenance and improvement of the skills, knowledge, technology and competence of the practicing dentist or dental profes-sional in order to ensure optimal dental health care delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, updating skills, knowledge and technology, and providing clinical and practice manage-ment instruction. The CE Program at the Lane County Dental Society strives to initiate and encourage lifelong learning habits in member dentists and other allied dental health care professionals.

Did you know that nearly 100% of graduates from Lane Com-munity College’s Dental Assisting program remain in Lane County? Take a minute to think of the number of individuals in your office that received their training at LCC.
Lane Community College provides a fully accredited, comprehensive one-year Dental Assisting program that trains energetic students to become oral health care professionals. The Jan Malone Dental Assisting Scholarship was established in 2004 in honor of Jan Malone, who served as the Executive Secretary of the LCDS for 27 years, to cover the cost of national certification exams for LCC dental assisting students.
Thanks to all of you who have generously contributed in the past, the scholarship recently reached endowment level. This ensures that the Jan Malone Scholarship will continue to be funded into perpetuity, and awarded to promising students with financial need.
We still plan to grow the endowment and increase the number of deserv-ing students we can support each year. Your generous gift to the Jan Malone Endowment today will guarantee funding for deserving students, to make sure that qualified dental assistants continue to be available in our community.
