INTRODUCTION
The Industry Applications Society, as a transnational organization, is interested in advancement of the theory and practice of electrical and electronic engineering in the development, design, manufacture and application of electrical systems, apparatus, devices, health, and safety issues; creation of voluntary engineering standards and recommended practices; and the professional development of its membership.
All Kerala Industrial Applications Society Student Conclave 2019 gives the IAS Student
members a golden opportunity to network with a number of IEEE Senior members &
experts in the Industrial field, to be mentored by them in their field of interest and explore
internship through personal contacts. It helps to take volunteer and leadership roles in
the chapter activities, avail travel opportunities and improve their communication skills
and confidence levels. The IA/IE/PELS Jt. Chapter Kerala is organizing the first All
Kerala IAS Student members meet (AKIASSC 2019) in February 2019 to showcase the
benefits of being an IAS student member. Encouraged by the response and success of
similar events organised by Computer Society Chapter Kerala, Power & Energy Society
Chapter Kerala, IA/IE/PELS Jt. Chapter joint hands with NSS College of Engineering,
Palakkad, Kerala for this prestigious event.

Why AKIASSC?
Kerala Section has got the largest number of IAS Student Branch Chapters.
The 400th SB Chapter in the world and the 50th in India & the 23rd in Kerala section, the IAS SB Chapter UKF College of Engineering was inaugurated today. Being a successful Section, it has got many features to nourish our innovative ideas. The value of AKIASSC cannot be concluded in few words. Why we need AKIASSC? - Can give answer to question like - How we can exposure our talent?AKIASSC’19 provide a platform to innovate our mind through Informative Meetings, Seminars, Workshops and exchange of information with the foremost industrial experts.
The core aim of conducting AKIASSC19 is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. By conducting different workshops and meetings with industrial experts, the students can increase their knowledge and technical skills. AKIASSC19 is the best place to show their talents and to develop their technical skills. The 3-day event top up with technical knowledge, managerial activities and an immense platform for networking. The most anticipated first edition of AKIASSC will support professionals engaged in the industries & research institutes of electrical and electronic engineering become a leading provider of scientific and engineering information on industry and its application. The event also provides professional development source for the students.Exposure to real life industries is one of the key elements emphasized in the event
outcome. The objective of industrial talk and visit is to enable the students to better
visualize what they have learned to the real industrial situations. Students also have the
opportunity to see large-scale industrial processes and equipment as well as real
engineering practices. The expected outcome of these activities is that student
engagement in learning can improve their technical skills and knowledge which will help
them in the real technical world. Thus AKIASSC’19 provides a platform for the students
to interact with Young Professionals, WiE Professionals, Seniors & industry experts.

ABOUT IEEE IA/IE/PELS Jt. Chapter Kerala
IA/IE/PELS Jt. Chapter, the only Joint chapter in IEEE Kerala Section is
now one of the most vibrant and active Society chapters. Industry applications society
(IAS), Industrial Electronics Society (IES) and Power Electronics Society (PELS) are the
constituent of the join chapter.
The Jt. Chapter was established in 2008. After 10 years, with the new
Office bearers IAS has got the largest number of members. As on Sept. 23rd, the Jt.
Chapter has 875 members including 109 senior level members, 55 Graduate Student
Members & 694 student members.
. Power Electronics Society with 315
members (12.06% in R10) out of which 237 (9.15% in R10) are student members. The
membership growth in 2018 was very remarkable.
From the membership count details, it’s clear that IAS Chapter, Kerala
Section, is growing exponentially. Also accounting the same, Kerala chapter is the
biggest IAS chapter in the world in terms of number of student branch chapters, and the
end results would be an independent IAS Kerala Chapter.
About IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter, NSS College of Engineering
Palakkad
NSS College of Engineering Palakkad is among the premium engineering
institutions in the country established by Nair Service Society in 1960 under Government
aided scheme. IEEE Student Branch activities started here in 1987. IEEE IAS Student
Branch Chapter started recently and has over 120 enthusiastic members in its core. The
student branch is guided by eminently qualified and experienced faculty members.
Recently, the branch had also received the award for the most vibrant chapter in the
Malabar Sub Section, IEEE Kerala Section.
The IAS SB Chapter NSSCE is one of the newly born chapters in Kerala
and was inaugurated on 27th March of 2018. The technical inauguration of the IAS SB
Chapter ignited the spirit of volunteering and activities of the branch.

The activities in 2018 so far include Seminar on In-Vehicle Networking for Electric
Vehicle Technology, IOT workshop, Elektra, Android App Development workshop, Web
and App Design Hackathon, Web & Photoshop design workshop, Industrial Visits &
Coding Contest finals on Sept 1st. Three IEEE student members got placed in UST
Global.

Host City - Palakkad
Palakkad District is one of the 14 districts of the Indian state of Kerala. Also, it is the largest district in Kerala from 2006. The city of Palakkad is the district headquarters. Palakkad is bordered on the northwest by the Malappuram district, on the southwest by the Thrissur district, on the northeast by The Nilgiris District and on the east by Coimbatore District of Tamil Nadu. The district is 24.4% urbanized according to the census of 2011. The district is nicknamed "the granary of Kerala" and "Rice bowl of Kerala, Palakkad is the gateway to Kerala due to the presence of the Palakkad gap, in the Western Ghats. The district is blessed with many small and medium rivers, which are tributaries of the Bharathapuzha river. A number of dams have been built across these rivers, the largest being the Malampuzha Dam. The largest in volume capacity is the Parambikulam Dam.
Palakkad became the first paperless revenue district by computerizing the collectorate, five taluks, and 156 village offices. It became the first computerized collectorate in the country implemented under the ‘DC Suit’ system and the first district where all the five taluk offices were computerized under the ‘Taluk Suit’ and connected with the Collectorate. There are various industries in the district. The Public-Sectorcompanies and Instrumentation Limited have plants in Kanjikode, 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) from Palakkad. Other large companies are the BPL group, Coca-Cola, and Pepsi. There is an Industrial Area in Kanjikode with a number of medium industries. Palakkad is one of the most agrarian districts in Kerala. Palakkad is particularly known for paddy cultivation. Paddy is cultivated in around 83,998 hectares in the district and occupies the first position in the production of rice in the state.

The proposed dates are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. February 8 will be Friday and last working day for students. The next two days are holidays. Delegates would use this opportunity to join the event. This weekend is going to be much more exciting for the delegates from various part of Kerala.

NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad
NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad is going to be the venue for All Kerala Industry Applications Society Student Conclave- 2019. The main events such as the inauguration, technical talks are held at the college auditorium. Workshops and hands-on sections will be at seminar halls. The college has a well-furnished auditorium, located in the main block. It has a seating capacity of 400 audiences. The auditorium is
used for activities such as seminars, cultural activities, important functions and meetings of students and faculties. The auditoriums are equipped with latest public addressing, LCD projectors and comfortable seats. The college has one main Seminar Hall and fivedepartmental seminar halls. All are aesthetically designed. The seminar hall is facilitated with the latest technology and is well equipped with multimedia projectors, which provides a special ambience for every event. It makes possible an ideal setting for carrying out various conferences and delivering lectures. Each has a seating capacity of 100 people. Each seat is equipped with a pull-out writing ‘tablet’ to support note-taking.
