Time Limits • A six hour time limit is placed on all events. This does not include your ceremony time if applicable. • All Friday and Saturday events must end no later than midnight. Sunday and weekday events must conclude

by 9:00 PM per the park. • Last call will be 30 minutes prior to the conclusion of the event, not to exceed 11:30 PM. • All setup for events must take place after 3:00 PM on the day of the event unless otherwise approved by Kosch.

Room Capacity • The Chateau on the River at Elizabeth Park can accommodate up to 190 people.

Minimums • A minimum of 75 guests as well as a minimum expense of $5,000 on food and beverage before tax, service charge,

or rental/equipment fees is required to host a wedding at The Chateau on Friday. A minimum of 75 guests with a minimum expense of $7,000 on food and beverage before tax, service charge, or rental/equipment fees is required to host a wedding at The Chateau on Saturday. A minimum of 75 guests with a minimum expense of $3,000 on food and beverage before tax, service charge, or rental/equipment fees is required to host a wedding at The Chateau on Sunday.

Elizabeth Park Policies and Procedures • There is a $300 onsite ceremony chair setup and rental fee for having your ceremony at The Chateau on the River at

Elizabeth Park. This fee includes the use of the terrace or surrounding grounds for your ceremony 30 minutes prior to the reception start time if applicable. This fee is not charged if you are not having your ceremony onsite.

• The Chateau is located on the grounds of a public park with seasonal daily business hours. The general public is permitted to enter the park and surrounding grounds during these stated hours regardless of scheduled events.

• Decorations or displays brought onto the premises must be approved by Kosch. Items may not be attached to any walls, floors or ceilings with nails, staples, tape or by any other means.

• Wax candles must be fully enclosed. • Loose glitter, fake flower petals, and confetti are not permitted in any form. • You, your vendors, and your guests are welcome to park in the coned area in front of the building on an angle the day of your event.

Alcohol Policies • In accordance with the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission all beer, wine, and spirits consumed on premise

must be purchased and served by the foodservice managing licensee. • Any event serving alcohol must use a Kosch TIPS trained bartender for the entire event. • Serving shots of liquor is not permitted at any event. • Non-tipping bar service is available upon request for a prepaid fee of $1 per person per bartender at your event. This

service must be coordinated prior to final payment; if it is not coordinated, there will be tip jars at the bar.

Kosch Policies • No food other than cake may be brought into this facility. • By agreeing to host your ceremony/reception at The Chateau on the River you authorize Kosch to photograph your

event and utilize these photos in various marketing media including but not limited to its website, bridal websites, and marketing materials.

• Per Wayne County Health Department regulations, leftover food must be disposed of at the conclusion of all events. • Kosch is not responsible for damage or loss of any personal property. In addition, the client is solely responsible for any

damage done to the facility or its properties the day of the event. • All prices and menu selections are subject to change without notice due to uncontrollable market conditions. • Please consider weather when planning your event. Kosch delivers rain or shine. Kosch is not responsible for park

closure due to inclement weather or park damage.

Policies and Procedures

Deposit • A $1500.00 payment is required to secure a date at The Chateau. This will be applied to your total event order. • Accepted payment types include cash, check or any major credit card. • By making a deposit toward your event you hereby acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to

Kosch’s Policies and Procedures, and Payment Schedule. • In the event of a cancellation, we will refund any money paid minus a $750 cancellation fee after the event date

ONLY if we are able to rebook the date with another event of equal or greater value.

180 Days Prior to Your Event • A second payment bringing your event total to half paid must be made 180 days prior to your event date. Late

payments will result in a $250 late payment fee added to your event and the event can be cancelled without refund.

60 Days Prior to Your Event • All linen color choices must be finalized 60 days prior to your event, if not sooner. Failure to do so may result in a

limited availability of options.

30 Days Prior to Your Event • The menu package along with all food and beverage selections must be made 30 days prior to your event, if not

sooner. Failure to do so may result in a limited availability of options.

10 Days Prior to Your Event • The final payment and any menu adjustments must be made no later than noon 10 days before your event date. Late

payments will result in a $250 late payment fee added to your event and the event can be cancelled without refund. • Complete the Bridal Details (page 17). • Submit a guest list to Kosch no later than noon 10 days before the event date, see more information below. • We will try to accommodate any changes within the 10 day time period if possible.

Final Billing • Final billing will reflect the actual number of guests served or the guaranteed minimum head count, whichever is greater.

Additional Fees • All prices are subject to Michigan state sales tax and Kosch service charge. • Groups requesting exemption from state sales tax must submit a tax exempt certificate (Michigan Dept. of Treasury

Form 3372) upon confirming their catering with a deposit. Failure to submit this document prior to the event date will result in the sales tax being applied without refund.

• Gratuity to staff is not included in the total cost of this proposal unless noted and is not mandatory.

Required Guest List • All events will be required to provide a copy of their guest list to Kosch no later than 10 days before the event date. • While children aged 5 and under are not charged for, they will need to be included on the provided guest list and be

clearly marked as being 5 and under. All others will be billed at our regular rates as our pricing is based on an average. • Please include vendors such as photographers, wedding coordinators, photo booth attendants, DJs and/or band

members when providing your final guest counts. They will be charged for at the regular rates of your package.

Dinner Service Format Options • Standard Buffet Format included for BBQ, Bronze, Silver, Platinum, Diamond, and Sunday Brunch Packages.

• Upgraded Plated Format available for Bronze, Silver, Platinum and Diamond Packages at an additional price per

guest. Please call our Event Specialists for more information on upgrading to the plated format.

• Stations Format included in the Strolling Dinner Package.

Usage Fee Details • A $300 ceremony fee is required if you are having your ceremony on the terrace or surrounding grounds of The Chateau.

• The room usage fee is included in all of our wedding menu packages.

• The room usage fee also includes use of the following items for 6 hours: The Chateau reception room, the terrace for

ceremonies or cocktail hours (additional fee), dance floor, tables, banquet chairs, portable bars, carpet, lighting, and

restrooms.

Onsite Ceremony Details • The terrace attached to The Chateau On The River or the designated grassy area adjacent to The Chateau overlooking the

boardwalk can be set up to be your ceremony site.

• Ceremony chairs are a white, vinyl, folding chair

• Gazebo and/or bridge reservations must be made directly through the park office. We can provide ceremony chair rental,

setup, and breakdown for ceremonies elsewhere in the park for an additional fee. It must be arranged at least 10 days prior to

the wedding date. Call our event specialist for pricing.

• Onsite ceremonies with white, vinyl chairs are available and included with various packages.

• If there are any weather issues on the day of your event, the ceremony can be held inside The Chateau and guests will stand

near their designated seats for the reception.

The Chateau On The River Specifications Details • The Chateau on the River can accommodate up to 190 guests.

• Guest tables are 72” X 60” rectangles and seat 8-10 guests per table.

• The floor surface of the reception room is carpeted.

• The dance floor is approximately 12’ x 12’ and can accommodate approx 30 couples

• The Chateau’s chairs are padded stackable banquet chairs

• You can provide mints, products, or whatever you desire to dress up the restrooms.

Vendor and Room Setup Details • You will be contacted by our onsite event manager 5-7 days before your wedding to discuss vendor delivery schedules

and setup schedules.

• Please consult with Kosch prior to arranging your rehearsal and/or setup times. Other events will be taking place at

The Chateau on the River that will need to be worked around and Kosch cannot guarantee a specific date or time for either

until 10 days prior to your event through your onsite event manager. Setup may occur the day prior to your event only if there is

not an event scheduled the day before. Setting up the day before cannot be guaranteed for all events.

• If there is an event scheduled for the day prior to yours, setup will take place after 3:00 PM the day of your event, which will be

organized with our onsite event manager.

• There is plenty of electrical outlets available for bands, DJs or any other services requiring normal power.
