Jon Montgomery’s career is a great example of the many pathways Georgian students and alumni can explore to achieve success. The Vancouver 2010 Olympic champion and host of The Amazing Race Canada graduated from Georgian’s Automotive Business School of Canada in 2000. In fact, it was a co-op at an automotive auction house in Calgary that first led him to the skeleton program at Canada Olympic Park.

Get involvedThe Georgian College Students’ Association (GCSA) can help you make the most of your time at Georgian. The GCSA oversees fitness centres, restaurants and more. It also manages social events like concerts, pub nights and student fundraisers. Interested in taking on a leadership role? Get involved! GeorgianCollege.ca/GCSA

Find your clubAre you passionate about making a positive social impact? Do you like to invent and innovate? Are you into motorsports and racing? Whatever you want to do in your spare time, there’s likely a Georgian club for you. And if there isn’t, we can help you create one! GeorgianCollege.ca/clubs

Give your timeGeorgian is proud to have an environmental and social conscience. Students and staff plan fundraisers, run bake sales, lead clothing drives and volunteer at local shelters. Last year, Georgian’s Me to We club raised funds and then travelled all the way to Kenya to help build a school. You can track your volunteer work and get an official co-curricular record at GeorgianCollege.ca/ccr.

Go greenGeorgian works hard to stay green. In fact, we’ve been named one of Canada’s Greenest Employers five times. Join GEAR (Georgian Environmental Activism and Research) to get involved. GeorgianCollege.ca/environment

Everything at Georgian was really amazing. The infrastructure, the teachers, the library – it definitely helped me to feel well hosted. People were always so kind to me and pleased to help with everything. My experience was really special, because I left my country, family and friends, to go to another place, with another language, and somehow it still felt like home. It was an amazing time, and I met so many amazing people!
