I know that a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the event. I assume all risk associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic and road conditions, all such risks being known to and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Silver State Striders, Washoe County, Washoe School District, their officers, directors, Race Director and agents, all sponsors, their representatives and successors, from any and all claims or liabilities, real or alleged, of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, and roller skates/in-line skates are not allowed in the race and I will abide by this guideline. I understand that the Silver State Striders reserve the right to reject any entry application and/or issue special entry invitations at its discretion.

A Silver State Strider event to benefit the Junior Striders and Community Junior Running.

* Where: Verdi Elementary SchoolFrom Reno take I-80 West to exit 5, go west two miles, turn right on Bridge St. (to Dog Valley Rd.) School is 1/4 mile on right. More parking at park beyond school. (Carpooling is advised as parking is limited.)

* Early Registration: 18 and under 5k Run/Walk Only (no shirt) - $10 18 and under 5k Run/Walk Only (with shirt) - $15 Adult 5k or 10k (no shirt) - $15 Adult 5k or 10k (with shirt) - $25

* Race Day Registration: (no shirt) at Verdi Elementary 8:30 - 9:45am 18 and under 5k Run/Walk Only- $20 Adult 5k or 10k- $30

* Post Race Picnic at school

* Awards: 5k & 10k runs Top finisher in each age group 5k walk - top 3 (male & female)* Due to global warming, the clothing for the first sacantaly dressed runner will no longer be awarded.

* Shirts guarnteed to pre-registered runners/walkers only. (must be pre-registered by Feb. 1, 2018),

* Packet pickup on race day only at Verdi Elementary School.
