Message from the Principal

It has been an honour and a privilege to be the Principal at Collector Public School in 2016. Collector Public School is avery positive and rewarding educational environment to work in.  Our students demonstrate caring, respectful andresponsible attitudes towards each other, their learning and the environment.  They are always great ambassadors forour school in all contexts. They have represented the school honourably in a range of ventures, including sports, publicspeaking, Science and technology and the creative arts.

Collector’s staff’s dedication to quality teaching and love of learning ensures an engaging and challenging environmentfor our students.  They work closely with an energetic and enthusiastic community to continually improve our studentoutcomes.

This year we celebrated with great success our Sesquicentenary, marking 150 years of continual education. It was afantastic experience to meet and watch past students and staff members reunite and reminisce about their years at ourwonderful school.

Without the success and contribution of community members, Collector Public School would not have received thegenerous donation from the Pumpkin Festival, which has helped us prepare for the 150 year celebration and to makemarked improvements to the school.

The staff of Collector Public School would like to thank everyone within both the school and wider community for theirsupport throughout the year, which has helped shape the successes of 2016.

Message from the school community

Collector P&C is a small but active group who dedicate themselves to assisting the school to provide the very bestenvironment, experiences and opportunities for our students.

Throughout 2016 P&C have had many successful fundraising events including Easter raffles, BBQ lunches for TRECdays , Food stall at Collector Village Pumpkin Festival and the BBQ and raffle at the schools 150th Anniversary .

Collector P&C have been able to support the school in many ways by paying for the bus to the two week swimmingprogram, providing a subsidy for the whole school camp and with the purchase of Presentation night books for thestudents. We also are able to continue to provide school uniforms at low cost to families.

We would like to thank the dedicated teachers and staff for their ongoing support throughout the year and for theircommitment towards our school and children’s education and future.

We would also like to thank the parents and community for their involvement, we are grateful for those who havecontributed their time and made donations.  Without this support the P&C would not be able to continue to provideresources for the benefit of the current and future students.
