Last year’s sale was our best to date, and this year’s sale has allthe markings of being even better. Our consignors have dug deep into their programsand provided sale offerings better than we have ever had.Joel Lemley and Dale Hunt will be selling the cattle. When you have the best auction

team in the industry, you can’t help but give them the best ring to work with. Our newpermanent sale ring is still in progress, but shaping up nicely. Crews are working dili-gently to elevate the sale ring os we are looking slightly up at the cattle. Our gates andaccess ramps are 2-3 times wider than standard. The 96” wide ramps and gates willallow cattle to access the ring with no stress to the cattle or the consignors. The ring willbe 20’ wider than a standard ring and 10’ deeper as well. The security wall will also bebigger. It is being made by Longhorn folks, for Longhorn cattle.

Friday’s heifer sale will start at 6:00 p.m. and will feature 27 lots from some of thetop programs in the industry. It will give everyone an opportunity to add some improvedgenetics to their herd. We will follow the heifer sale with a catered meal by Mamacita’sfrom Kerrville and a live country music barn dance. The music will be provided byCountry Jim and his All Stars. The open bar will be in effect all weekend.Saturday’s sale will start off with breakfast tacos and a 10:30 starting time. We have

a handful of 80” cattle being offered and a double handful of 75” plus cattle being of-fered as well. Plan to be amazed and hopefully take a few of these offerings home withyou.Transit cattle are part of bringing Longhorn folks together. We have plenty of room,

hay and water for transit cattle, and there is no charge. We are happy to help you getthem to where they are headed. Plan on unloading and loading them where the sale cat-tle are handled at.

of Don Bordelon & Gina Volante, a few hours before the heifer sale. Their family andfriends will assemble at the river for a wedding ceremony. The outdoor setting will beon a bluff, overlooking the Pedernales River. It will be a beautiful ceremony with someguitar music and a few classic cowboy songs. The public is welcome to come early andattend.
