Another well attended TLHA Annual Meetingwas held January 10 with nearly 50% or ourhomeowners represented. President WarrenStevenson highlighted 2014 activities. Sub-jects discussed were a dues increase, the status of the small lake maintenance, home-owners yard maintenance, street repairs,neighborhood watch and social events. Microsurfacing Our StreetsPresident Warren Stevenson reportsthat the resurfacing of our streets is stillon the agenda for late spring or earlysummer providing funds remain avail-able. eBlasts will be sent to homeown-ers as soon as we receive dates.
Spring Clean Up is just around the corner. Thedumpster is scheduled to arrive on Scottie Circleon June 2 and remain throughout the week or untilit is filled, whichever happens first! Time to cleanout your closets, garage, attic and basement.
Prior to the Dumpster arrival, TLHA residentJami Phipps has organized a neighborhood sale for
May 29 and 30. Although this is NOT a TLHAsponsored sale, anyone is welcome to participate.If you are interested, please contact Jami at 816-739-0805 or email her at [email protected] is posting signs plus balloons at the TLHA en-trances and handling the advertising. The saletimes are 8am to 3pm each day.
4TH OF JULY PARTY SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 27Saturday evening, June 27 at 6:30 pm, has been set for our 4th of July celebration and fireworks. Join your neighbors at the big lake shelter house for desserts, children’sgames, and another outstanding fireworks display. Bring your chairs and favorite beverages. Dona-tions are being accepted for the fireworks display. Please contact any board member to contribute.
Rabid Skunk SpottedIn mid-April a skunk was spotted in the yard of Steveand Sharon Hansen on Scottie Drive. It was observedgoing in circles and frothing at the mouth, indications ofrabies. If you see any animals exhibiting similar behav-ior call the Clay County Sheriff right away to dispose ofthem. Other potential rabid animals to watch for arebats, coyotes, and foxes.
