Executive Director Report
Amovita Consulting has established a reputation
that is synonymous with service excellence and
innovation within Australian and international
markets.
In 2012, we committed to you that we would
transform the Amovita brand whilst maintaining
our high level of commitment and quality to our
clients and customers. As part of this
transformation, we streamlined our business to
operate within 3 key Business Divisions.
These changes provided us with an agile
organisation that delivers clarity around our
products, services and programs. Keeping service
excellence as part of our core business principles,
we continue to grow and change to make the
necessary changes as the business world
continues to surge towards a technical and digital
space.
At the beginning of 2013 we made a promise to
our rural, regional and international clients that
we would connect with them and deliver services
face to face. Throughout the year, we are proud
to have delivered services in every state and
territory in Australia and internationally in the UK,
Hong Kong and Italy.
We have changed the way that we engage with
our clients and customers. We deliver services
and programs via technology mediums including
skype, webinars and through online training
platforms.
These flexible service delivery modes have
ensured that we are meeting the individual needs
of our clients and connecting with more
customers. We have improved our administration
systems through centralisation and partnerships
and the implementation of new software has
enabled us to increase client contact hours.
During the year we have celebrated many
achievements, which includes a significant
partnership with the University of Tasmania;
becoming an affiliate of Blue Ocean Strategy
Australia; partner with Neurocapability to deliver
the Diploma of Neuroscience Leadership; we
supported over 8,000 individuals in our Change
Management Advocacy Program and we were the
recipient of the Australian Business Award for
Service Excellence for the third consecutive year.
Through a period of exciting change and
consolidation, Amovita Consulting continues to
grow and diversify, whilst maintaining our core
business values. These changes have positioned us
to grow our already impressive results for clients
and provides us the opportunity to continue to
implement our strategy with greater confidence,
determination and drive.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge and thank our
valuable clients and customers for your continued
support of Amovita and allowing our team to
work alongside your business and staff to support
your transformation, growth and innovation.

2013 Australian Business Award for Service Excellence
Amovita Consulting was once again honoured in the prestigious Service Excellence category of The
Australian Business Awards 2013. Executive Director of Amovita Consulting, Tracey Harris said, “this award
demonstrates important recognition of the company’s continued exemplary commitment to providing
superior service excellence to our clients and customers.
For the third consecutive year we have had the privilege of being awarded with the
Australian Business Award for Service Excellence. This award is testament to the
services and products we provide to ensure our clients and customers can
achieve business and people excellence’.”
Now it its eighth year, The Australian Business Awards is a highly regarded
national program with an established set of business and product award categories
assessing the core values of business excellence, product excellence, sustainability
and responsibility.
The program engages with leading corporate, government and non-government organisations across key
industry segments, including financial, manufacturing, professional services, energy, telecommunications,
construction, transport, healthcare, education, food services and retail. Winners of the program are publicly
honoured for their industry-leading initiatives and products.
Since being established in 2008, Amovita’s commitment to service excellence has been the key in
transforming services to include their three key Business Divisions. This evolution has placed Amovita
Consulting in a niche position that assisted them to grow and change to meet the needs of clients and
customers.
During the last 12 months, Amovita Consulting has increased all Divisions by 15% in Business Consulting, 24%
in People Management and 31% in Training and Professional Development.
Ms Tara Johnston, Program Director, The Australian Business Awards says, ‘Amovita Consulting is a worthy
recipient and has demonstrated a commitment to excellence that stands out amongst a dynamic field of
Australia’s elite.
The Australian Business Awards recognise our most innovative organisations, their outstanding
achievements and contribution to the Australian economy. The awards raise the bar across all aspects of
quality management and provide organisations with ways to review their business and product performance
as well as identify their core strengths, Ms Johnston adds.
An Australian Business Award solidifies Amovita Consulting’s place as a leader alongside our best in business.
As well as achieving outstanding outcomes, the honourees have enhanced the reputation of their
professions and have demonstrated their best endeavours across business, industry and the community.
Australia’s modernised economy is providing a stable platform for a wide spectrum of sectors to increase
their competitiveness through concerted ICT development, manufacturing innovation, a dynamic services
sector, a growing knowledge economy and a world class primary sector.”
The Australian Business Awards 2013 saw one hundred winners (ABA100) announced across twenty business
and product award categories. The business entries were assessed using key criteria covering planning,
research and development, execution and implementation, impact and outcomes, performance
management and industry contributions.

Change Management Advocacy Program (CMAP)
During the instrumental changes both across government and non-government sectors during late 2012,
many professionals and employees were affected by redundancy and job losses.
In support of those staff who had been affected by these
changes, Amovita Consulting implemented a free Change
Management Advocacy Program (CMAP) in early 2013.
CMAP was specifically developed to assist employees
transitioning from public sector employment to new employment
opportunities/training/study to minimise the stressors and
challenges that come with the current competitive job market.
Since December 2012 this very popular service was delivered
throughout South East Queensland and as part of the program, we
provided presentation and support to over 8,000 employees and over
600 employees received one on one services or attended our group
programs.
This program was an initiative of Amovita Consulting and no fee for service was received by any employer or
employees that accessed this service. This is just one of the many ways that Amovita enjoys giving back to
our community.
Workcover Queensland & Amovita

Blue Ocean Strategy Australia Affiliate
In early 2013 we were delighted to formally affiliate with Blue Ocean Strategy Australia and Andrew Nelson.
BOSA are the exclusive representatives of the trademarks for Blue Ocean Strategy in Australia and these
trademarks cover goods and services in business management, professional business consultancy, business
research, business organisation consultancy, academies, workshops, symposiums, publication of books and
texts and electronic publications.
As a Blue Ocean Strategy Australia Affiliate, we are fully trained in the Blue Ocean Strategy and bring
additional industry and vocation expertise to the Blue Ocean Program.
Blue Ocean Strategy has literally changed the way companies do business. It has turned the way we think of
competition on its head. It will challenge everything you thought you knew about strategy.
Red Ocean Companies try to outperform their rivals to grab a greater share of existing
demand. As the market space gets crowded, prospects for profits and growth reduce.
Products become commodities and cut throat competition turns the ocean bloody red.
Blue Ocean Companies, in contrast, are defined by untapped market space, demand
creation, and the opportunity for highly profitable growth. Most are created from within
red oceans by expanding industry boundaries. In blue oceans, competition is irrelevant.
Yes, imitators arise, but experience shows there is a wide window of opportunity to stay
ahead of imitators.
What consistently separates winners from losers in creating blue oceans is their approach to strategy.
Creators of blue oceans do not use the competition as their benchmark, but follow a different strategic logic
that we call value innovation. Instead of focusing on beating the competition, make them irrelevant by
simultaneously creating a leap in value for buyers and your company, thereby opening up new and
uncontested market space.
Throughout the world Blue Ocean Strategy is now recognised as best practice in strategic planning and
change management. It is the only strategic planning method to appear in Harvard Business Reviews: Ten
Must Reads on Strategy; and Ten Must Reads on Change.
UTAS Training Project
Throughout 2013 the University of Tasmania and
Amovita Consulting formed a partnership to deliver
specialist and targeted Professional Supervision
training across the state to over 200 individuals in
over 150 agencies and organisations.
This project saw several of the Amovita team travel
throughout Tasmania, meeting with a range of
organisations and maintaining partnerships and
collaborations with other agencies in government, non-government, not for profit and private organisations.
Specifically tailored to meet the diverse needs of all allied Health and clinical professions, this partnership
approach saw several university faculties come together with Amovita to present the Professional
Amovita Consulting 2013 Annual Report Page 12 of 14
Supervision: Providing an Integrated Learning Environment 2 day training presentation; and the Professional
Supervision: Turning Insight into Leadership Impact 2 day training presentation.
This diverse group of professionals from medicine, dentistry, nursing, teaching, social work, psychology,
orthopaedics, dietetics, nutrition and counselling were introduced to Amovita's integrated PASE Model of
Supervision and were specifically guided and coached to apply the model in their own workplaces as best
practice in supervision.
We would also like to congratulate and thank Tracey Turner, Allison Reader, Mara Schnieders and Sandy
Taylor on their dedication to this project and what a great result for the large number of professionals that
attended.
Student Placement Program
This year Amovita was privileged to have a Masters Student from Griffith University commence her student
placement with the team. Claire Walsh undertook her field placement with us and was involved in our full
range of services and programs engaging in an integrated learning experience.
A pinnacle of Claire’s placements was the presentation of 2 papers at the
Association for Social Work and Welfare Education (AASWWE) conference
in Perth in October.
The papers included the development of an Integrated Framework for field
practicums for both students and interns and developing quality curriculum
for professional practice & clinical supervision and coaching for high
performance.
Congratulations to Claire on her quality presentation and since her time in Perth
Amovita has been contacted by a number of organisations and universities to
engage further discussion and planning in these two areas.
