1 are delighted to announce The Psychometrics Forum Excellence in Psychometrics Award The Award Ceremony will take place on: Tuesday, 22 nd November, 2016 The Naval Club, Mayfair From: 16.00-18.00 The Psychometrics Forum is committed to supporting and acknowledging evidence-based practice in Psychometrics. As part of that commitment we are proud to initiate the Excellence in Psychometrics Award. This award will recognize an original, useful and validated project conducted by psychometric practitioners and/or academics. The winner will receive The Psychometrics Forum Certificate of Excellence in Psychometrics and a free delegate place at a TPF event of their choice during 2017. Their work will be exhibited and presented at The Psychometrics Forum’s networking event on Tuesday 22 nd November and published in Psyche (the Forum’s regular newsletter). The winner of the Award will be announced in November and presentation of the award will be made at the networking and awards evening, immediately following our flagship New Frontiers event. A selection of submitted posters will be exhibited at the Networking Event and shortlisted nominees will be invited to present their research to the Forum in 5-minute presentations. The deadline for entry is Friday, 14 th October 2016. Entry requirements The subject matter of submissions must have taken place within the 3 years preceding the deadline date of 14 th October 2016 and be linked in some way to Psychometrics (i.e. assessment of personality, abilities, motives, values, attitudes or other measures of individual psychological differences). A panel of industry experts will judge submissions, with contributions being welcomed from all corners of the psychometric community. Poster Submissions via e-mail Nominees are required to submit an A4 Poster as a pdf document via email. If selected for display at the 22 nd November event, they will also need to provide an A1 version for display purposes. Background to the Award The objectives of The Forum are to broaden and deepen understanding of the nature and structure of cognitive ability and temperamental aspects of personality, to promote more effective measurement of personality and/or cognitive ability and to promote best practice use of psychometrics. The Forum is the leading group of independent practitioners in the UK with a steadily growing membership and a well-established LinkedIn presence connecting 5500 colleagues from around the world. The aims of the Excellence in Psychometrics Award are to recognize and celebrate excellence in the enhancement of knowledge and applied skills in the field of Psychometrics. The Award will validate the quality of successful submission and provide a platform from which to showcase to the wider psychometrics community. The Award The winner will receive The Psychometrics Forum Excellence in Psychometrics award to be presented at an awards ceremony on Tuesday 22nd November 2016, immediately following our annual New Frontiers event. The winner of the award will receive:

• Free entry to the preceding New Frontiers event. • Free entry to a Forum event of their choosing in the calendar year 2017. • During 2017 the winner will also be entitled to take advantage of any reduced-rate

training that the Forum offers to their members (subject to training pre-requisites). • The wining poster will feature in Psyche magazine and will be showcased on the
