Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI)CBI was incorporated as a private non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization in 1982 and has a 30-year history of providing comprehensive, medically integrated behavioral health programs which include prevention, education and treatment services using cutting edge, nationally recognized treatment models throughout Arizona. Today, we are one of the largest statewide crisis providers offering outpatient treatment for co-occurring disorders, psychiatric stabilization, medical detoxification (inpatient and outpatient), residential care for pregnant women, prevention and education services, and community development.
CBI operates 22 programs throughout Arizona that are all licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services- Division of Behavioral Health and accredited for all of our prevention and clinical programs from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Prevention ProgramsCBI’s Prevention Partnership provides community and school-based programs in Maricopa, Navajo, and Apache Counties. Our services promote healthy lifestyles to youth, families, and community members.
CBI founded the Mesa Prevention Alliance (MPA) in 2008. Today, the Alliance is supported by over 250 members who work together to develop the best possible plan to address youth substance use through education, prevention, and healthy alternatives.
Community EducationCBI provides training opportunities and educational workshops for the community at-large to share our knowledge and expertise about substance abuse prevention and treatment. Trainings can be held at schools, local community centers, and the workplace. We have a dynamic group of trainers that have years of experience with presentations to address emerging drug trends, youth prevention, wellness, treatment for co-occurring disorders, signs and symptoms of use, and local resources for individuals and families.

CBI’s Statewide System of Care
East and West ValleyAccess Point & Transition Point
Access PointIntake & Assessment – A front door to the behavioral health system offering assessment for ongoing services, brief intervention, and coordination of care through contracted network providers.
Transition PointLevel III time-limited residential (3-5 days) – 16 beds for individuals (18 and older) who need targeted overnight support or planning for transition back to the community.
Crisis Stabilization & Medical Detoxification Programs
Crisis stabilization services are emergency interventions that can last up to 23 hours. Services include medically monitored stabilization, triage, evaluation, assessment, and transitional services for adults experiencing a substance or co-morbid related crisis.
Our inpatient medical detoxification centers utilize physician-directed protocols that are administered by licensed medical practitioners and supported by our entire clinical team of registered nurses (RN), clinicians, behavioral health specialists, peer support specialists, and transition coordinators.
CBI operates three Level I facilities located in Mesa and Phoenix:
• Arizona Bridge to Recovery (ABR)• East Valley Addiction Recovery Center (EVARC)• Central City Addiction Recovery Center (CCARC)
The Center for Hope for Women, Infants & Children
The Center for Hope (CFH) is a unique and nationally recognized program that provides housing and treatment services to pregnant and parenting women. CFH offers long-term support and residential services to pregnant women in need of a safe and structured environment to address their physical, mental, and emotional health needs. CFH offers group and individual counseling, parenting programs, relapse prevention, job skills training, housing, family counseling, and an on-site child development center for toddlers and infants.
Eligibility for women’s services at CFH: Be 18 years of age or older Be pregnant Have a history of substance abuse Be willing to commit to a long-term program
An Outpatient Program for Women ASPIRE offers group and individual counseling, an on-site child care room, and a career center. Our program model utilizes best practice interventions specifically designed to address common barriers women face in recovery. The CFH’s continuing care program also operates from this location providing group and individual counseling, intensive case management for alumni, affordable housing, and rental assistance to qualifying families.
Rural Stabilization & Recovery Units (SRU’s)
CBI operates six Level IV licensed facilities in Cochise, Gila, Pinal, and Navajo Counties to provide the following services:
• Crisis intervention, triage, stabilization & short-term recovery services (three-five days)
• Peer support & community-based outreach • Counseling services, transition & referral• Continuing care & family support programs

Residential TreatmentCBI operates Level II residential programs located in Yuma and Benson to provide psychiatric, co-occurring, and substance use disorder treatment services including:
• Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)• Brief Intervention Program (BIP)• Counseling & peer support services• Transition, referral & continuing care
Outpatient Behavioral Health Programs
CBI’s numerous outpatient programs provide substance abuse and mental health treatment for men and women throughout Arizona. All of our programs provide Best Practice behavioral and cognitive modalities.
The following services are available:
• Substance use disorder treatment and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), including outpatient detoxification and addiction-based pharmacotherapies*
