ARCHAEOLOGY GROUP

Aims

We will look at all types of archaeology, below

ground, on the ground and above ground by talks

and site visits with the occasional outside

speaker. We will look at digs, landscapes,

structures and buildings to set them in thehistorical context and the lives of the

contemporary people. Industrial archaeology will

also be considered where buildings show how

people worked in the past.Whilst the main focus is on the UK we will also

look at world-wide sites.

No hands-on work is planned at present but the

group's agenda is set by its members.

The Wine Tasting Group visit to theHalfpenny Green

Vineyards & Craft Centre Staffordshireon Wednesday

- Guided Tour of the Vineyard

The visit coincides with the annual Harvest so there should be plenty to
