Next NRLI BOD meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 8th at 3pm.Treasurer Report

Dianne gave a treasurer report. There is $2,166.82 in the bank. There was a recent website maintenance bill that needs reimbursing to Deb Burr.

Alumni Association Deb suggested that it would help with class challenge if a list of alumni with associated

class was sent out. Dianne sent out a list by end of meeting. Bryan asked for Ed Wright contact details, as emails and phone calls were unanswered.

Candy will forward updated information to Bryan. Candy mentioned that the website account is always open and donations can be made

anytime online.Class Challenge

Bryan will rework last years class challenge information and send out to the BOD.Emphasis will be put on funds generated for future class scholarships.

Paul suggested that in addition to the class challenge that an effort be made at recruitingalumni association dues from fellow classmates and colleagues.

Present NRLI Class and upcoming session Bruce Delaney talked about what a great class the present one is relative to all the

others!!! The upcoming meeting (session III) is being held in Port St. Lucie between

October 13 and 15. Tom Ostertag mentioned a potential location for next years field trip associated with

class graduation. There is a ranch near High Springs that is involved in Loblolly pinerestoration. The ranch is about 45 minutes away from Gainesville. If the field trip wereto occur on the ranch, landowner would not be able to host until 10 am. Pat will send outan email seeking input from BOD.

Newsletter There will be a Fall newsletter. Bryan got 6-7 articles and Stan forwarded an article

during the conference call. Bruce and NRLI team will forward article of present class.

Bryan and Ed Dunne will work on newsletter and will send out to BOD in the next fewdays.

Upcoming NRLI Facilitations Bruce gave two updates of upcoming meetings that NRLI will be involved in. The first is the Lake Okeechobee Summit that is being organized by USACE. Topics

include a forum for agencies to discuss management responsibilities for lake waterregimes. Responsibilities will be reported to the public. NRLI (Bruce, Laila and JoyHazel) will be facilitating the one day summit.

The second meeting is about the Port of Miami and the DEP permitting process forenlarging the port/canal. Goal is to improve understanding between the variousstakeholders. NRLI (Bruce, Laila and NRLI alumni) will be facilitating.
