On “Concealed weapons threaten campus safety” (Rebecca Rasmussen, Sept. 28, 2010) Opinion
Steven Tingposted 9.28.10 @ 2:29 P.M.If you want to take a CCW class, I’ll teach you for free. The Univer-sity is about education. You should further your education by taking the time to know both sides of the issue. The class is not all about guns. It’s also about knowing your rights and knowing the differ-ence between proper usage and a felony. It’s also about shattering the perceptions that people. Just because you have a gun doesn’t mean that you’re dangerous.

That’s Lifeposted 9.28.10 @ 5:00 P.M.I’m more concerned about the likelihood of being hit/killed by a car crossing the street/parking lot than being shot by a gun in a class-room. Both drivers and CW holders have permits to handle lethal weapons. Are there any differences in who is a more responsible person? Should I hid in my room from all the scary people with their scary weapons? I guess its part of life and I’ll just have to live with it.
